Which areas will most likely have people willing to party up?
For example, in Pre Searing, Abbey seems to be the party hotspot for people looking for new guild members and quest partners.
What about AFTER Pre Searing? Which places can I look forward to? Thank you in advance. (I am currently at that transitional phase away from Pre Searing to some hellish looking area with scorpions and golems. I forgot the name of the place.) |

Most towns and mission outpost will have people looking to group. After pre you are landed in Old Ascalon If you follow this main story line and missions from there you will be able to find a party. Be patient, sometimes it might take a few.

One thing to remember, many people play pre-searing as a total stand alone seperate game and never leave, so you'll see many people in certain towns etc.
Once you've left pre-searing, the maps and add ons make the game huge, and as the game is 5 or so years old, people are spread across the entire game. It can be harder to find groups, hence why Embark Beach and 7 heroes was added. |

This does not answer your question directly but if you join an active guild then you should always be able to get help even if you are in a sparsely populated outpost/town.

But why? lol. Why would you settle on the tutorial stage of the game if there is so much more out there? I can see myself preparing for the higher level areas but... why settle on a tutorial area forever??? |

Most people have more than one character and so choose to leave one in Pre as Pre looks much nicer than...er...any further and I start giving spoilers to story line lol

There's a segment of the playerbase that seems to log in for the social aspect, just to chat. I think Pre-Searing is attractive to those types, because there's an "exclusivity" to the area. It's small, and so the community is somewhat close-knit.
There are also chat communes in Great Temple of Balthazar, Shing Jea Monastery, and I think there's one in Post-Sear Ascalon City, as well. Those who log on to actually play the game are more spread out, as stated, and grouping will be a little more difficult. It's easy to find a play partner in Pre because you don't get heroes/henchmen there. In Post, heroes and henchmen are freely available and a lot of players choose to go that route. Embark Beach should make it easier to find a Pick-Up Group (PUG) if you wish to go that way, but joining a guild and making some friends will be more reliable. |

You can visit our Guild Connections section to post a looking-for guild thread and/or check out the guilds who are looking for members. It usually gets you a better fit than accepting invites from guild spammers.
