The Elusive Golemancer problem
OK, I'm in the room with the three pressure plates that the worker golems stand on. I've got all three on their plates but the door is still shut. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

Did they say "engage stationary mode" when they stopped? Try touching them again and moving just a bit... see if that triggers the door.
Also, see if you can walk through the "closed" door... might just be a graphics glitch. |

If i recall correctly - when you "park" the golem on the plate it should sort of sink into it and a few times ive seen the golem stand on it but not on enough to sink - i went to door and it wasnt open so i checked each golem an yes the last one was still standing and a lil jiggling got him in place.

A strange one this,
When I take any of the 2 Golems to there plate I just go in a straight line heading to the door and as they follow you in the path you take when I turn around they are sitting in there plate. Have your heros ect flagged away a little as it could be they prevent it from seating. not saying thats the answer but never had this problem so its just a guess. |

Thanks. I checked all that stuff - each one was in stationary mode and sunk down. Couldn't walk through the door. I've seen some folks talking about a similar bug in HM. Guess I found it in NM too. Zoned out. Will try again later.
ETA: Yep. It worked fine this time. Last edited by Stormy Fae; Apr 01, 2011 at 05:21 PM // 17:21.. Reason: Update |

Maybe this was it: the golems that follow you won't sit down if there are enemies around, and two enemies wake up when you activate the first pedestal. Apart from that, all I can think of is if your golems got stuck in an NPC or spirit.

Maybe one of the Golems powered down* like the ones in Destructions Depths if they take too much damage and looked like it was sitting on the plate?
*Not sure if the ones on Golemancer do that though. |

Well I did it again and it worked fine. Here is the screenshot of the time it messed up. There were no enemies around. I walked around for several minutes looking for whatever I missed, but it never worked. I think it was a bug.
Anyway, I have a new problem. I did the quest over successfully but it never showed up in my handbook. I understand it's supposed to be listed as Oola's laboratory right? But it's not there. I don't know how to get the quest again to redo it. Here is what I've got so far: How do I get the quest again? |

Ok. Sorry, I don't know what I did wrong with the pics. But in the wiki it says that this quest shows us as Oola's laboratory in the handbook. Maybe they fixed that. Neither one of them showed up. I figured out how to get it again, just go talk to Blimm outside Oola's lab. I'll see if it shows up this time.

For me this only happens if I am carrying more than one copy of the handbook and the first copy in my inventory already has it completed. (The game doesn't check to see if you are carrying more than one copy and updates the one that doesn't have it.) The work-around for this (before completing the quest in question) is to shift the books around in your inventory so that the book without the quest is first. Also found out by accident that the game actually allows you to carry handbooks customized for other characters -- never confirmed it but doubt very much the handbook would actually update. (At one time I use to store various handbooks for all my chars in my vault box then would take out the ones needed for a quest. I am guessing once or twice I must have grabbed the wrong ones.) |

Did you complete Lab Space before doing The Elusive Golemancer (Oola's Lab)?
