Will I learn all skills for my profession as I progress?
I've already completed my training as an assassin and received several skills. Will I learn more as I progress? or will I have to purchase the rest from a skills trainer? I'd rather keep my skill points if possible.

You will have to purchase them from a skill trainer for the normal skills. The elites you cap from bosses that you kill using a Signet of Capture.

You will eventually end up with hundreds of unused skillpoints. There is no need to keep them.

In case you're mixing them up like I did when I started, skill points are not the same as attribute points. Attribute points are the things you use to increase the effectiveness of your skills. Skill points (there is no restriction on how many of these you can obtain) exist primarily for buying skills. Don't worry about saving them because there isn't really a point in doing so.

You will get so many skill points eventually it doesn't matter.
But you may as well buy skills until they get up to the 1 platinum cost, it starts out at 25 gold I believe. After that, see if you have the skill unlocked then buy a skill tome to learn it cheaper. |

After the training (assuming you complete everything) you do not have the ability to get skills from quests, in Factions you then have to buy all your skills from the skill trainer.
In contrast, in Prophecies you can learn skills through the whole game as a lot of quests has skills as rewards, but this was changed for the following games. |

It might serve a purpose to save some of your skill points for capsigs instead of spending them all to regular skills. This helps in getting Elite Skills, at least for me the lack of skill points slows me down a lot with my skill hunter title.

If you are concerned about skill points, only purchase the skills you actually want or think you may need. The skills will always be available from skill trainers, so you can purchase them whenever you need them. |

For assassins, there are 12 assassin skills that you will be able to get from quests. The rest you will have to purchase from skill trainers, or use a signet of capture to aquire them from bosses.
http://www.guildwiki.org/Assassin_sk...uick_reference (the skills with a ! are gotten from quests) http://www.guildwiki.org/Skill_Quests You might also find this useful. It's a full listing of what skills you get from quests, for each class, for each campaign... and shows what quest gives them as reward. For you - just scroll down to the Factions section
