So I haven't played in around 2yrs and I was thinking about starting up my warrior again. My question is, are warriors still valuable in this game or have they been replaced by Dervish and Assassins? If I start using my warrior again will people even want me in their groups such as fow? Finally are warriors still good in pvp or have they been replaced completely by Dervish?

---side note..are their any good Dervish builds that use a sword and shield? If so please post it. I have been looking for awhile.

As far as I know the only speedclears where warriors are wanted is FoWsc.
In 'normal' pve (missions, dungeons, etc.), unless you gonna do the zaishen mission or bounty finding a group will be hard for almost any profession, since people tend to use heroes instead of players for most missions.

I don't really know about pvp.

Dervishes have taken over warriors in pvp, imo anyway. And they use scythes.

Been playing warrior since the very beginning... there not near a valuable as they were... there now replaced by their over powered substitutes... shadow form assassin for tanking and dervish for damage. There was a hammer buff if it could so be called all it really did for me is change up useless skills to still be useless and my good hammer bars less effective... other than that warriors are still very usable just don't do anything better than other classes.

Run Earth Shaker or Dragon Slash with Save Yourselves! You shouldn't have too much of a problem getting into groups.

I have been wishing I had made my Assassin my main for getting Hall of Monuments. The Assassin has been probably the best melee damage dealer for quite some (with scythes before the dervish update, and still with daggers and Strength of Honor), AND it can run caster builds such as Discordway or SoS spirit spammer if necessary.

The assassin also has a number of great armors when they are dyed black, + Mask of the Mo Zing. I could probably be happy getting every elite armor for HoM on my assassin.

So basically, Assassin is probably the safer, more well-rounded bet.

Seriously? Let's recap:

1) Running around like Quasimodo.
2) Wearing 60 AL armors with lots of unnecessary spikes.
3) Abusing one skill which makes them IDDQD.
4) A melee class being able to play caster builds.
5) An ugly mask that dyes poorly.

That's not rounded, that's retarded.

Not really replaced by sins, but with dervs (also in pvp) yes. VoS is kinda the new HB, but on a derv you have some less armor, but more energy which can be helpful and with VoS they can use sand shards and also whirlwind and eremite's together, which a HB war can't.

Warrior's are still useful, and like said before, run earth shaker with save yourselves etc.
