Best mission running class?
I recently got back into guild wars and made it my goal to get the monument rewards for clearing all missions with bonus objectives and clearing them in hard mode.
My main concern is, is there any primary class that will have trouble doing this? I was planning on using an assassin, warrior, or necromancer. Out of these, which one would make this task easiest, and which class (out of all the classes) is best for this task overall? |

Any profession can complete all the missions and bonus objectives in normal and hard mode, and the best profession to accomplish this is the profession that you enjoy playing the most.

Of the ones you mention, Necromancer. Is true that any can do it though.

Might sound like an echo, but every profession can complete missions easily.

While any profession can easily complete any mission (with heros), the best profession is the one you enjoy the most. So the question becomes which profession do you enjoy playing the most and does it match your playstyle?
The reason why I say this is because if you enjoy a profession, you tend to study/observe how that profession works more and become more efficent at playing that profession. |

Ok thanks guys! I think I'll go with the [N/A Mark of pain nuker] and [N/R Pet Necro] that I found on pvx wikia (plz tell me if this is not a good choice for missioning with heroes and henchmen)
Honestly I don't favor any specific profession, but I find joy in watching an enemy's health bar drop quickly in large chunks. I also like being versatile and necromancer seems to fit my needs quite well. |

PvX split and the old site isn't updated or active anymore. The above link is the one you should be visiting. Mark of Pain builds rely a lot on synergy, so make sure you have very spammy physical damage players/heroes, etc. |

I would recommend Assassin. The Assassin can be both a superb melee character or a great caster (Discordway, but it can also run with Signet of Spirits, etc). Plus, the Assassin has great armors when they are dyed black and worn with the Mask of the Mo Zing. The Assassin is needed for Speed Clears because it can tank. So yeah, if I had to start over and choose one character, I would choose the Assassin.

By far the easiest class overall is Rt, nothing else come close in terms of general solo farmer either.
All classes are great and i have all toons, but I did gwamm in 4 months on my Rt and have all the baubles I require (45 million experience too), I rather doubt I could do the same easily on other other my other toons. |

Melee for soloing, out of those assassin for general use
Casters go with mesmer or necro. |

The thing is, as a new player I've found out that basically it doesn't really matter what you play, cause if you use the meta hero builds, you can just flag your 7heroes around and complete everything without having to use any of your own skills. Sure it makes stuff faster if you actively play, but other than that, difficulty seems low enough, at least for missions and vanquishes. HM dungeons are apparently harder than that so that might be where having a stronger class helps a bit, but as long as you build around your class it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

Its your personal preference - as you can see already you have almost each profession mentioned by several players.
The best advice id say was from KZaske - learn a profession , any person can run a build and say discordway but after rushing thru everything what has that person learned ? Did they learn synergy etc - nope , all they learned was to button mash 1234. |

ok thanks for the input guys. Now, if I want to do all the hard mode missions and solo farm UW on the same character, would Ritualist be the best class? I was going to pick Necro but I heard they aren't so good at soloing Underworld.

You would be better off learning about The Underworld and the basics of the game before you start thinking about elite area solo-ing. There are many professions that can do it depending on the player. Why don't you look for yourself instead of relying on a few posts with people picking their personal favorites?
