Getting rid of scavengers - Guild Wars Forums

Is there any way of getting rid of those scavengers, they are making some vanquishes a royal pain in the ************** .... i like the idea of these guys but this is unbelivable

In Zen Daijun with a mixed group of (i have woc some dont) we had afflicted when our leader has said hes had scavengers there before. Where as as Minister Cho's its scavengers all the time.

I havent play much WIC yet, but i assume they are only there because you have a certain quest active... abandon that quest and retake it later?

Its really weird because when entering Zen Daijun I get scavengers but when we vanquished it earlier with guildies we did get it to reverse and stay as afflicted. We're trying all sorts based on who hasn't done it and leading parties but we cannot get minister cho's to change. I have finished WoC part 1 in NM and have currently abandonned the quest from that area.

Once you do WoC and get the scavengers, they will always be there. Unlike WiK, these are permanent replacements.

In the beginning of WIK, it was the same way. Maybe it will follow suit later programming wise?

Im glad others are saying same as me about the scavengers appearing.
But something ive noticed and said a few times - wik if a party member wasnt wik enabled the foes would be original foes for that zone , useful if a toa/SC runner.
But it seems the rule "party requirements" doesnt exist for woc as me and a guildie discovered.He was having probs with cho`s estate vq and had made the mistake of doign all the woc stuff first.Scavengers were spawning so i suggested i bring my rit who hasnt even reached tehnaki temple and we see if foes spawn as original - we assumed the above rule was working and i could help him vq.
Oh were we wrong bigtime - scavengers spawned even tho rit didnt meet the rule reqs.
Im glad my sin has only sj island and raisu palace to vq and more glad i never got her too far into woc.
Scavengers and the req for woc needs to be looked into by anet and sorted out - even if its just the req as players will pug with non woc players for vq.
