Epic Ways to Kill a Legendary Survivor?
I'm not sure if this more properly belongs in Q&A or Riverside, considering it's soliciting opinions....
Most of my legendary survivors have gone as far as they could after getting the title, but with my assassin, I've got him at exactly 1,337,500 exp, and I plan to lock it right there. I'm just trying to think of an epic, memorable way to kill him without risking getting a speck more experience. Some ideas I've had:
Ideas appreciated. How'd you (intentionally) off your Survivor? |

I second his notion!
Edit: can't go wrong with a vampiric weapon. Last edited by HanSolo; Aug 24, 2011 at 05:51 AM // 05:51.. |

Remove all armour, equip Frenzy and head to Isle of the Nameless. Repair the trebuchet, fire it, run over to the barrels, use Frenzy and win.

With my monk i helped a mate do a CoF run and when it got to the lava pools on lvl 2 i thought why not, went and grabbed the hidden treasure and let the lava roast me.
You could grab Shadow Form and find a nice map with a large supply of enemies close together and see how many you can aggro to kill you before you die. Last edited by Saint Scarlet; Aug 24, 2011 at 09:00 AM // 09:00.. Reason: an idea |

I've locked all of my Legendary Survivors to 1.337.500 thanks to some careful calculations and the necessary, timely death soon after.
- I've obtained the title with the very first one, a Ranger, the good old way, with little to no farming at all, just doing missions and quests. He finally passed away killed by the lv5 Tiger he eventually tamed. After his premature departure he gained like 5 million XP without dying again: his second death only came during an unfortunate attempt to beat BLA with Henchmen last summer. Tough guy. - The second one to get the title was my Ritualist, obtained mostly through VwK-farming. I've started this character with a guild mate who swore he'd never play a melee character because "beating down people" was not suited to his peaceful nature... I convinced him to try out a Warrior anyway. He turned out so keen on his new character, and so surprisingly aggressive as a Warrior, he used to recklessly run into mobs and attack things in a rage. When I tried to cool him off, he said he was a "mighty warrior" and was going to kill anyone on his path, me included if I ever tried to stand against his fury. So he did: when I finally got my title, he happily Dismembered and then Decapitated my poor Ritualist in a skirmish... Peaceful nature my eye! That went into my character's role-playing backstory: my Ritualist is an introspective guy who hates to join groups led by hot-tempered melee fighters. So, you could look for a neurotic, blood-thirsty player to help you with this one... - My main character (a Warrior) could only get Legendary Survivor after the recent update. He died stoned to death by a Pinesoul while running from Beacon's Perch to Droknar's Forge... naked, with just Shadow Form and Sprint in his skill bar, and a Vampiric Dragon Sword equipped. He didn't get very far... Suggestions: - As an Assassin, you could fight the Doppelganger in HM. Naked. With a Scythe. Report back for crits. - You could get killed by Windborne Speed while under the effects of Quickening Terrain in the PvP version of the Isle of the Nameless. - Sacrifice to death and then get a hi-speced Necromancer to summon a Lv32 Flesh Golem from your exploitable corpse. EDIT * I believe death by traps doesn't count. |

Go into the Trial of Zinn with a vampiric weapon . Yes you die, yes you fail the trial and get returned to outpost for a do-over.

I went outside of Ascalon City and tried to kill one of those Whiptails that pop up there using hand-to-hand combat with my female Monk LS for her first death. (lost the SS, dagnabit!)
In another thread about this same topic, I remember people suggesting getting yourself blasted by a trebuchet(sp) in the Ft. Ranick mission. |
