Linking a GuildWars account to GW 2 - Guild Wars Forums

I was just wondering, how are we supposed to do this in the future? I would like to get the rewards, I made my GuildWars account when it was released, and I made a PlayNC account with it, but I forgot the password of the PlayNC account and the password of the email.

Try contacting your email provider. passwords can be reset.

We don't know yet how this will work. Don't let anybody tell you differently, because ANet has revealed nothing yet about the mechanism for linking GW1 and GW2 accounts. If there were any official information, it would be somewhere on the official Web site, and it is not.

Many have claimed that linking accounts will require a PlayNC master account, but this is only speculation on their part. It may require only login details for the GW1 account, or work through some other mechanism. However, NCSoft support should be able to help you recover the password to your PlayNC account, if you want to be ready in case access is required to link accounts.

Wow, I actually managed to recover the e-mail.

I remember there used to be an option on PlayNC that sends a new password to the email of the PlayNC account. What happened to that?
