Adding a preorder code to an existing account with all games already - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all,

I want to start off with: I did search, and no thread came up on adding a preorder code to an existing account with all games active.

I am trying give my daughter, who is 11 a gift in game. I was thinking about getting her a preorder code for NF, and just wanted to make sure it was possible to add that in AFTER buying her the whole collection.

From everything I have read about other codes before, I think it would work fine, but I wanted to get more input before I attempted to do this.

I added a preorder nightfall code to one of my accounts (gives an extra character slot if I remember correctly), with no issues (found it for cheap, and its a mule account so an extra slot was/is nice).
You can add lots of codes to existing accounts with no problems -though stuff that would be doubled (like character slots) wont be...so if you say had prophecies and then added the triology to it--you would only get the additional slots for factions and nightfall and not 4 extra for adding prophecies...
does that make sense?

I have added the ce to an exisiting normal account--I only got the extra dances and bonus items, not extra character slots.

That's what I was wondering...wanted to get her the cooly extra weapons and whatever else was in the pre-order. Its a present for being on her own account for a year. Before she had a character on mine, so I wanted to just give her somehting cool.

ya, i had factions already and nightfall already but wanted the minis and the special dances, so i bought them anyway and added on and still worked. so its gotta work for preorder
