Most Profitable Activity in Canthan New Year? - Guild Wars Forums

Just like with Wintersday, where Winter Wonderland (WW) and Snowball Dominance give you lots of sweets, gold, drunk and party points in a short period of time, is there any comparable activity in the Canthan New Year which you simply cannot afford to miss?

In other words, is there any activity which everyone waits for to take advantage of during the festival? Something which if I don't do will make me slap my head later and say "Doh! Why didn't I make full use of it during the festival?"

quest lines which give lunar tokens thus access lunar fortunes...and ofc 9 rings (although not profitable if u ever plan on doing luck/unluck titles you'll say "doh" for not taking advanatge)

Yup, make as many chars as you can and run the quests.
A brand new char is able to do them, only the last quest may be a bit annoying with a new char and henches but there are MANY players running it, so find a party will be easy.

I find that getting those coins your rewarded and selling those (stacks of them) is key.

Don't you have to be level 5 to do the quests?

Yes level 5. I actually have already made a couple toons and got them to level 5 to do the quests.

I just made sure all my mules could get to Ran Musu, just by doing the quests to get there you'll be well past level 5

Strictly speaking, you could repeatedly delete/recreate and quickly get up to level 5 to do the quests.

And, as mentioned, those quests are like 30 minutes total to get almost a stack of tokens. Do it on all your toons and even if you burn it on Lunar Fortunes, you should probably get enough pets to sell that you'll make quite a bit.

I buy enough fortunes to get 2 pets and sell the rest as tokens or convert to bags.

I have 3 "junk" account full of level 5s now, and I was probably cranking the last set out in under 20 min each. Just do Primary quests, grab ALL of the secondary prof quests, do the 3 closest (can't remember which exactly) and you will be level 5.

Also, be a Rt - the summons destroy the quests that early on.

The most profitable thing to do is to run the festival quests for the tokens on EVERY character you have and then turn them into lunar fortnunes.
DO NOT sell these right away, their price will go up dramatically in the next couple of months, just hold on to them for a bit and you will soon get 40e/stack

Don't the quest give a total of 150 coins + whatever coins drop during quests? Just curious if I'm missing a quest. 125 coins on island and 25 in kam + drops + fireworks + gold.

Are bags better than just stacking fortunes for later?
