I would add that it takes many hours before you and your wife can actually meet together in game. Making a character in the same campaign may be a better solution, if you don't want to wait to play together, or if instructions on wiki are a bit confusing

Just an addendum about titles: the overwhelming fraction of titles ARE purely cosmetic. There are a few "reputation" titles - asura, dwarf, kurzick, lightbringer, luxon, norn, sunspear, and vanguard - that have skills or title "effects" ("affects"? !@#$&! grammer). Increasing ranks in these titles is functionally the same as putting attribute points in a skill line for any other skill. Example: higher rank in the Sunspear reputation title (gained by killing stuff under certain conditions in NF) will make the sunspear skill Necrosis do more damage, just as putting more points in fire magic would increase the damage the fire magic skill Flare does.
For the most part, however, you should not worry about titles at all yet. Nightfall WILL ask you to rank up in the Sunspear title at a certain point in the storyline, but other than that, there are afaik no titles that specifically are required. Unless you really hate nightfall, or really love the idea of ritualists or assassins, I'd follow others' advice and create a nightfall character to play with your significant other. The advantage to this is multi-fold: you'll not be lonely, playing with another; you'll both learn together; you might even be able to design character builds to compliment eachother (simple example: a warrior for damage and a wee monkling for running around after the warrior and providing bandaids and crying when the warrior dies). Alright I see what you mean, I was trying to figure out what all this Sunspear and what not is. So they are titles, but the titles actually give you something.
I think once we get to level 20 and begin to understand crafting more and other things are natural to us, we will make another character to level in Nightfall. But if i have a character from Factions I can do the Nightfall quest line correct? |

Yes, as soon as you unlock "campaign travel" you can travel across the campaigns (after doing a quest) and do quests and missions in that campaign too.. some starts-quests can only be done by characters created in that campaign, the rest is for all players. |
