Unsure Newbie - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, I'm on a trial account at the moment and am waiting for my full copy to arrive in the post (after easter, grr). How do I join a guild? How do I find a guild for that matter? I've pretty much just logged in for the first time.

look at the guild recruitment forum on here. Lots of guilds listed

You'll also see plenty of people spamming guild recruitment messages in the various towns. If you hook up with one that spams in Pre-Searing or Ascalon City after you get out of the tutorial, you'll have a better chance of getting into one that's newbie-friendly. Otherwise, you're best off taking Neith's advice and checking our recruitment forums so you can pick the guild that would best suit you (as joining any random guild is a crapshoot).

Thank you for your replies, are people on trial accounts able to join guilds considering they can't whisper and can't talk in the chat channels?

You can talk on the forums and in PMs,
if they're aware that you're on a trial account they should simply be able to invite you ingame if they wish.

Guilds regularly advertise in most outposts in-game. Most do so in the "All" chat channel, so if you enable/check the box for "All" in your chat window, you'll see them pop up from time to time. I'm not certain if you can join a guild while still on a trial, but if they agree to invite you to their guild they should be able to do so and you'll see the invite when your account is er...legit. :P

For guilds, don't be afraid to ask questions of the ppl recruiting. A good guild will have ppl willing to lend a hand, answer questions, etc.

Thanks, I've upgraded my account now, decided to go with a digital copy rather than wait ages for a physical copy to arrive.
