How to change regions from US to EU?
Hi.
I just downloaded the free trial but I downloaded it off the US website and I have red latency at the moment. Is it possible to change it to EU without having to download the entire client all over again? In WoW we could just edit a .txt file is it as easy here? Thanks |

In a district, at the top left of the screen is a drop down box. Chose "More Options..." and you can pick your geographic area.
A drop down box is also available when you map travel. Last edited by enter_the_zone; Apr 08, 2012 at 06:13 PM // 18:13.. |

Swap districts option at the top left of the screen and you will be able to play on the euro servers.

Guild Wars uses districts that you can change in game by pressing the little blue bar in the top left corner of the screen while in a town or outpost. Select the Region (district) that you would like to be in and hit travel.

You change your district within seconds, at any time you want. I constantly hop between districts to see which gets the best latency.
As the above poster said, just go to the box in the top left corner and choose your district. |

A slight edit to what's been said above. In the drop-down box at the upper left, you can select what district (1, 2, etc) you want to go to. You can also select "More Options" to choose the 'region' (america, europe, etc) you want to play in.
If I recall, once you choose a region, you will stay in that region until you choose otherwise, so you don't have to re-select a region each time you start the game. |
