alot of people left, but its playable enough, and if starting a new account, you'd just need the right skills unlocked for your heroes, and you can do whatever you want to in GW's pve.... pvp is kinda dead, i heard
its just some harder to get nice teams lately, especially after GW2's release too bad you lost your password, as the game is nice to play even with just several people being active, GW is worth paying for imo, it has no fees, and so gives you the freedom to play whenever you feel like play the game as its supposed to be, play it with heroes all the way (you can have max party with heroes now... max as in 7) and you can make challenges i've seen many grouping topics here on guru info: the game is way less crowded compared to some years ago, but its not dead... ignore those statements its very cheap now, and has no fees, so you can take breaks whenever you feel like all i can say is: buy all campaigns and eotn, and see if you like it... if not, come back after a while and try again or dont buy, and maybe miss a nice time of gaming in GW i still play GW, and once my want-to-do list is done, i'll try more builds than what i have now on my heroes and myself i bought it in its first year, september i think, missed the first halloween cuz i couldnt get to lions arch, and saw the first wintersday so yea... still playing these days, and many people returned to GW from GW2, as they didnt expect GW2 being so much different from GW there's another topic about that, lets not make that the subject here.... just mentioned so that you can see many people in GW even these days funny thing was that people said "its 7 years, its time to die for it", while its still alive, just less populated, thats all i'd say: try it, its not expensive (even to me) and no pressures from fees and enough people on forums still teaming up alot, havent seen em ingame in case you'll get it, look at the american districts, they are way more populated than european and international ones |

wydz...if you still remember the account name and characters and have the keys you can contact support and they can help you get back into your account without having to buy another one.
yes the game is still alive, unless you pvp.

Personally I had already been on a 2-year break from GW1, by the time GW2 was finally released. I was burnt out.
But, GW2 made me remember everything I loved about GW1...because GW2 was missing those things. So, I decided to come back. I think and hope as long as the servers are up, people might keep discovering this great game. Maybe pvp will be resurrected after all (I loved RA! and Observer-moding GvG and HA). There's a lot of people in presearing, there's always 2 districts of Kamadan and the Great Temple of Balthazar at least. Yes, it's not as much as the heyday, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people there actually were. |

your account name is the email addy you used to log in--so think back to when you first got guildwars and what email addys you had back then (contact friends who might still have you in old contacts folders).
either way I would contact support (if you have the keys, and your name and bday they might be able to find it for you---its worth trying if nothing else).

Still alive and very worth it! Even Kamadan still deserves the title of Spamadan.
I hope you get your old account back!! |

As usual, it has lost population with the spate of new games this year, but people are trickling back. Why, because there is no reason not to. It's still a great game with a great community.
