I do believe it is any minature, not one of each, plus when I get level 10, M.O.X. statue can be unlocked, so I don't even need a Unique minature, just all commons hence I already have a rare.

Perkunas meant, that when you are requesting minis for free, don't be surprised if people don't give them to you, since they are still filling their own HOM or wanting to make a full collection. Minis mostly come from character birthday presents, so it's the luck of the draw for all of us. I too started this game from launch and I'm only at 43/50 (granted I had a couple year break leading up to GW2).

You haven't said whether you were able to get through the games any further? Like FengShuiDove noted, you should always fill up your party with heroes or henchmen, including a healer. Koss will only have the abilities you put in his bar, so trusting him to res you... well, it's on you to give him that opportunity.

As for the attitude you might have received here, remember that most people at this forum actually do like this game. The HoM was made for those people; those who played GW forever and that ANet expected to keep into GW2. A lot of us did play GW2 and found it lacking, so to have someone come back here demanding free HoM points... well, you can see where it all comes from. Right?

Hero armor statues like the free MOX one are not minis (though heroes do appear as minis also). The hero statues are for a completely different monument (Fellowship).

The minis do have to be different, you cannot add dupes. The points you receive for a rare or unique are separate points, you need both to get the rewards.

A lot of people give away 1st/2nd year whites and if you check the ones you have against the list on the wiki, I'm betting that's what your freebies are. This will only get you to ~16 though. Making it to 20 and each tier beyond will be exponentially more difficult without money, as it will require increasingly later years and/or purples, and those are much less likely to be given away.

Tell me if I am mistaken or not. I was under the impression that one needed to reach at least "Kind of a Big Deal (1)" (full HoM) to be able to "use" your HoM rewards in GW2. At one time, I was under the impression that you needed 5 "statues" in Fellowship, 5 in Valor, 5 armors, 11 weapons, and max displayable minis. This represented a "full" HoM & KoaBD(1). Was this just a mistaken impression?

I think you are a bit confused...that was for getting the birdie to show up...if you had level 1 koabd and a full hall the bird who show up, otherwise you had to get to level 2 for it to appear.

I'm afraid it was. AFAIK the "full" hom just refers to what can be simultaneously displayed on the monuments. Possibly that also coincides with 30/50 but I'm not sure on that. As long as you've earned the points, you can access the listed rewards in GW2.

My suggestion is, ask in your GW2 guild for someone to help you in GW1.

I started playing GW1 about a year ago now, figuring I would learn the lore and style, and unlock things in my HoM. I knew nothing about GW1, and only had this forum and the wiki to guide me (well, and PvX). At this point, I think I'm close to 2000 hours across characters (some of which is idling). I'm at 48/50 (close to 49). Had I someone to help me, I could easily have shaved half, if not more of that off. Unlocking skills in the pay shop would have also helped a lot.

Most of the HoM Points (around 35/50) are purely a function of cash. In the cases where you can farm the item up, in most cases it's easier to farm something for cash, and just buy the item. In other cases you can't even get the item (like Minis). So, having a class and build that facilitates farming, helps your cause a lot.

Again, my suggestion would be, hang out on your GW2 guild's vent server, while playing GW1, and just ask questions. Worse case, if someone has an active account they can probably come help you by donating time or resources to any sticking points you have.

Upon great progress after several of you have come to help me, I have made my way over some stupid problems, and gotten to Eye of the North, Hall of Monuments. With the minatures I have bought using money I was given, I have gotten up to 7 Points just with Minatures, I have M.O.X. so he is a free point waiting to happen.
What I wanna ask is one of the rare charmed pets you can gain. I heard if someone has completed the quests for it you can help other people gain that charmed animal weather its (Black Moa, or imperial Phoenix) I dont know which one is easier, but I know for sure Black widow spider is too hard, and I just want one if not easiest to get of the charmed animals for the two points instead of using my flamingo for one.
Using one of these charmed rare animals will gain be 2 poitns, plus MOX will give me one making me hit 10, my goal.
Has anyone completed the quest and willing to help me go charm one of those rare animals? Lets me know, reply or what not if my information is wrong.

you could make a pvp character --ranger, you get a pet (if you have one of the pet skills equipped)..take it to the Zaishen Menagerie...show it to the tamer...now with your /r character go to the menagerie...and tame the wolf....its already level 20 (not exotic) but will give you the regular pet statue.
lots quicker than leveling that flamingo

Black Moa and Imperial Phoenix are both in the Factions expansion. Black Moa is easier since it's about halfway through the campaign, and the Phoenix you must finish the campaign to tame.

Heres another question.

Would anyone be willing to trade me a unique miniature and/or 9 Common Minatures? It says "Any _ amount of minatures" but aparently they ALL have to be different which is stupid since they never said, thats another way to get me to 10 Points, So I'm just asking.
I got 30k and some rare exotic crafting stuff/weps that one forumn member gave to me to trade for them I guess, So any of these would be much appreciated.

Yes, you can join someone else. However--this may not make sense to you, depending on your experience yet--you can't get "run" past any content in Factions. You have to play it through to get to that pet. So it's probably more time than you want to spend.

Ended up getting scammed, hence trade only holds 7 slots, the guy was willing to trade the rest after, so I only got a portion of my deal, but got scammed big time of my Rare Miniature.

If anyone has these miniatures (I need 3 new ones, an any of these will do) Then I will have my 10 HoM goal.
