Question Noob Question

From what I am able to read on Guild Wars seems to finally be the MMO that targets me-the casual gamer with a life that hates a purposeless grind. I seem to be missing what the end-game is though...We level up (or dont and get a prefab pvp character)..then go into PvP. Is the PvP in pursuit of something besides the regular PvP fun? Do we build towns or defend land from other guilds?
I seem to be completely misunderstanding that asp[ect of the game. If anyone could give me any insight I would really appreciate it. Thank you

Well the endgame....once you reach Level 20 you got many choices! You can do PvP like you mentioned already, but GW doesn't "just have" PvP, you can do random 4on4's, then normal 4on4's I believe with a choosen team, then the different GvG battles and some other kinds of PvP 2, the games mainly based on PvP but it got a huge PvE too, I ehard soemwhere that we were just able to play like 30% of the whole GW Wold in the BWEs or soemthing like that and I mean well....many people thought the Beginner-Area was already the game, just another prove for the huge exploreable area and like many people said once you're level 20 the game begins, Level 20 ain't the endgame, its just the end of you gathering ability points, you still can explore the world, meet people in town, trade stuff to get YOUR perfect armor, hand around with your guildmembers or just go on a itemhunt with some random party-members! You can go on solo too if you want to, therefor you can get some free henchmen...and there's still the PvP option, I played PvP mainly on the last BWE and i gotta say, even the 4on4 random PvP was hella fun! Played it all night with different builds...I hope I could help you atleast a bit....and don't call yourself a "noob", beginner or newbie sounds more friendly

EDIT: You can't "build" towns but you get Guildhalls you can defend against other guilds, should be lotsa fun too!

Thanks for the reply. I guess the last question O have is can we conquer anything? It would be cool if we could take soemthing over..even if it's just another guild's hall.
