You only get 200 attribute points in total, so it can be unwise to spread them over all your different attributes as that will leave them all at mediocre levels.
Read this article for extensive detail on what I'm talking about.

Pets have a hard time taking down an opponent in PvP so no minions would be available. The idea should work very well in PvE though.

Well, yeah, My necro/ranger build is gonna be for PvE after i learn the game and everything, I figured that I would create something like a ranger/elemenalist or, maybe soethign to do with a warrior whose sole purpose is for PvP

There are skills that can make your pet stronger, do more damage, or have gerater Penetration of armor but each skill you get for your pet is one less you could use for yourself. I only run with two. Charm animal to get the pet. and Confort animal to heal it. Of course I mainly play PvE and things are way different in PvP.

these pets are commonly known as zoo keepers but I don't think they work that well. First you have to get dead bodies to raise your minions from, and minions and pets are both notoriously weak, although if you can get 10 or more minions up that's something to see.

You'd probably want to pump your attributes into death magic, expertise, and marksmanship. I still don't see the need to put points into beast mastery but I could be wrong. Just let the pet level up and be another attack and then use your bow with some strong attack skills as well. You'd probably want to bring marksman's wager because making minions can take quite a bit of energy.

Hmm...Ok all in all what kind of combanation do you think i should do as far as professions go? Would I want to be a minion raising Archer, Or A sword swinging elementalist? I still haven't participated in a BWE so I really dont know the strengths and weaknesses of the people.

they're all workable. I can't tell you what you should be without knowing what type of character you want to play.

I play as a necro from time to time too. How many undead minions can you have at one time. Assumeing you can find the dead bodies.

I've seen at least 20, as long as you can keep them healed you can keep raising them.

I like my Monk Mesmer, but I kinda wanna try a Monk Necro, just to see if his head explodes from the contradictions...

I am a Monk...
But I'm a Necromancer...
I worship life...
But I defile it...
I Heal the Sick...
But I tourture the souls of the dead...
I give people another chance in life...
But I take away thier chance in the Hereafter....
I defend the weak and innocent...
But I prey on the lost and mourned....
I...
But....
*ACK* Illogical! Illogical! Norman, Coordinate!

I prefer the string of logical thinking which came about from illogical means through the human psyche which is truly flawed do to its evident want for human contradiction yet acceptance.

Hee hee hee hee hee... ^_^

I could go on and on... Monk/Warrior (Protecting life, destroying life), Elementalist/Mesmer (I deal in the true nature of the world/I deal in the illusions of the world), Warrior/Ranger (Kill da bunnies/Befriend the bunnies)... Give me time, there's a gold mine of material here. ^_^

I went to: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...tion-id270.php

How I wish they would write things out so people who are not hard core gamers could understand and learn.
