PvE and PvP, whats the differance. - Guild Wars Forums

Hi

I have only played PvE at the moment, however no one has really clearly stated what the differance between PvE and PvP are in terms of what you get and can do. So I have aquestion which other might find usful.

Can a PvE character once the reach high enough level become a PvP and have access to the same section of the game. I ask this becasue I want to build my own character then enter it for PvP tournements?

If this is the case then becasue I like both aspects of the game I have no need to create a PvP character and use up a slot because I can work my way to that level of game play?

a pve toon can do both at will
a pvp toon is restricted to pvp areas only

edit
your pvp will only have access to what your pve character unlocks (skills,runes, armor and weapon enhancements etc)

Thanks, I just could nto find any clear answers, i now know I don't have to give up a slot for a PvP character.
