From what i have read from different threads about this certain topic, everyone will start from scratch.

Everything is wiped, guilds, items, gold, even what your character's avatar. All that is left is your name which is reserved for you.

So it will be like playing for the first time but with a name reserved for you.

Don't forget the special items for the people who pre-ordered/bought collectors edition...
EB Games Preorders get the "Ithas Bow"
and you get the "Divine Aura" with the collectors edition, which doesnt really seem to do anything

Pardon me if I seem rude. Quoting myself above, I stated that I was able to talk to Gaile. For those who know who Gaile is, then ignore what I am saying. For those who do not know who Gaile is, then listen up. Gaile works for ArenaNet. She is in contact with the developers/programmers. She always showed up in Lion???s Arch district 1 in the few last hours of each Beta Weekend Event (BWE). She would be the closest contact, and leading informer on what will be wiped and what will not be wiped. During the very last BWE, I asked her what would happen to the guilds, and would they be wiped as well. Her response to my question was, ???No the guilds will not be wiped.??? This means though your character is starting from scratch, it will still belong/lead any guild that you were in during the BWE, plus any per-order items/Divine Aura that your character may start with. So with a 97.0% confidence level (yes, I am using statistics now), I say that GUILDS WILL NOT BE WIPED. I say 97%, because there is still the 2% possibility that at the very last second, the developers decided to wipe all the guilds from the server. In addition, there have been posts from above that come from GuildWars.com???s FAQ.

See DigitalX's post above for the quote pulled from the FAQ

Therefore, unless everyone in a guild deletes all of their characters off their accounts, then that guild should still exist. I noticed when a guild leader deletes all characters off his account; the system will appoint a new guild leader from the current membership.

yes the guest pass is just that a guest. In order to play on the 27th or 28 you will need to get an beta code key or the full verson of the game. I do not belive anything under a guest pass gets saved.

Your guild name will stay, and from what you heard from gaile your guild members will still be under that name. I stll belive that you will have to register and buy you gild halll agin. this is so everyone starts on the same level. Not just everyone starting on level one, but also so that some people are not penalized for not playing Beta. I dont think that its right that some would start off basicly 1100 better off than others.

In order for you to have your guild name attached to your account, the guild has to exist. If the guild exists, then your Guildhall will also exist. Your flags should stay the same, but I know from the first wiped in messed up the color schemes of several guilds, mine included.

When you make a guild your guild it still exists with or with out a guild hall, i wonder is everyone is still in your guild, but in order to play any GvG you need to register and the other.

The only reason why I question this is because they have stated that it shall be a lvl playing field. We guild members starting out 1100 gp ahead of the newbies doesnt seem lvl to me.

Characters in a guild will stay in their guild, as for the guild rating, I figure they will be set to 1000. You cannot have a guild without a guildhall, unless I missed something in the last BWE, then when you create a guild you got a guildhall; but in order to have a flag/cape you would have to pay 1000.

When you create your guild you get nothing, to get your cape/guild hall you need to pay the 1000.

I knew about paying 1000 gp for the flag, but as for the guildhalls I knew that you could choose what type you wanted. In addition, I have had my guild since the World Wide Event during E3.

You need a sigil to get a boat ride then the guild leader can pick the hall. Your guild leader must have done it early because I've seen screens of my guild in a guild hall for the February BWE, but we didn't have a guild hall for all of the March BWE and about half of the April BWE...

(as you can tell we're not exactly a competitive GvG guild...)

So is it posible to delete a guild if you messed up on the tag (the 4 letters that follow the members name) and remake it at a later time, or is there a way to change the tag with out deleting the guild?

Yes you will have to disband your guild and reform it, I mess up my guild name and had to do that.

...what about the remaining 1%? What then! *bites nails*

BTW, when I created our guild on the last BWE, it was only $100, and the registrar was easy to find. I wonder if it was just for the last BWE?
