Names of weapons and what they mean - Guild Wars Forums

I am trying to find out what all the names of the weapons are and what they mean, I am a ranger and carry a ascalon bow i see shadow bow and poisioners bows and a ton more names is there a list out there that tells me what they all mean and what each weapons is. Thanks in advance.

when a weapon has a enchantment on it or added to it the name of the weapon is changed to associate the enhancment on them. for example a Vampiric bow has life steal on it.

I understand that but some weapons have names on them like a shadow bow, or ascalon bow, flat bow, short bow long bow you get it is there a weapons chart that tells what is better and a flat bow the is light blue or purple or gold I know about rarity but does that make it better, I am also looking for a list of all te upgrades and what they do. I understand about the vmpiric life tap I just want a list that shows them all.

yeah there is but dont knoe where the post is. the differnece is speed and range.

Composite 2.7 Seconds Longest
Dead Bow 2.7 Seconds Longest
Flat Bow 2.0 Seconds Long
Half Moon 1.8 Seconds Short
Horn Bow 2.7 Seconds Medium
Ivory Bow 2.7 Seconds Longest
Longbow 2.4 Seconds Long
Recurve 2.7 Seconds Longest
Shortbow 1.8 seconds Short
Staff 1.75 seconds Medium
Wand 1.75 seconds Medium
Sword 1.33 seconds Shortest
Axe 1.33 seconds Shortest
Hammer 1.75 seconds Medium

Storm, Chaos, Brute names seem to be just styles of bows/swords etc. Like "Long Sword".
