Default Ok this is bogus: PvP Mesmer vs PvE Mesmer.

Ok so I went to make a PvP Mesmer to see what colors would look good on my PvE Mesmer. It started innocently enough.

But I noticed that, while my PvE mesmer has 46 energy (48 with a +2 energy staff head), my PvP Mesmer WITH THE EXACT SAME BUILD, comes out with 64 Energy.

What, the, ****?

How is that right? Why do PvP Mesmers get a bonus in energy over PvE ones?

Test it for yourself:

10 Fast Casting, 6 Illusion Magic, 12 Domination Magic, 11 Inspiration magic.
Mesmer/Ranger

You can't *quite* get those stats with the Raw point addage but after you add in runes and what not it comes out to the same stats.

The only thing I could think of is that the equipment made a difference.

And it does, it makes a whole 5 energy difference. So where did the other 11 energy go?

Check your weapons....Those PvP wands and foci are sweet, they have like +15 energy -1 regen for a wand and a foci gets about +27 (+15 and +12) energy -1 regen.

Nope, same equipment except for the staff (which made a 5 energy difference).

Nm I figured it out.

The difference came between the wand. it added 15 energy which is fine.

But I forgot when you switch you get rid of the foci item which adds another 2 energy.

I thought I'd covered that but I guessed I missed it.

Was gonna be pissed if PvP Mesmers had a built in advantage over the PvE ones.

+15E -1E reg. Wand?

edit:
My PvE Me/E
Nude: 20E
Normal armor: 30E
Enchanters armor: 37E
8+4 Insigthful staff: 49E, perfect staff would be 10+5: 52E
Same thing with perfect +3 wand and 12E foci: 52E
With 12E foci and +15E-1Ereg Wand: 64E
