Default Reversing the Scales?

Hi guys someone told me that they got a sweet necro skill (bone fiend) from reversing the scales mission. I went to North Providence and the only quest i found was the pig one for Farmer Dirk. Could anyone help me out? thanks.

You need to look for Captain Greywind. He's near the entrance to Ascalon Settlement, the one nearest the beach. But you need to first get the quest from the merchant in Lions Arch. He will give you Reversing the Scales quest and the necro boss has bone fiend.

Oops after rereading my post, it does sound confusing.

First go to that merchant in Lions Arch. He will give you a quest Ascalon Settlement or something like that. This quest tells you to look for Captain Greywind in the Ascalon Settlement. After you complete this quest, Captain Greywind will give you the Reversing the Scales quest. Equip your signet of capture when doing Reversing the Scales as the necro boss has bone fiend as a skill to be captured.

ok thank you. i sadly waited by my computer for somebody as nice as you to reply. Im going right away to complete this task. Another thing. I was worried one time as i was getting the signet. Do the skill point things really mean that much? i mean i have about 20 of them (i think) and the only time i recognize i use them is when "buying" the skills. Is there any other purpose that I should save them for? thank you very much.

Skill points can get scarce later if you use them to buy/capture too many skills. But you will always be able to get more skill points by accumulating enough experience points equivalent to levelling.

Wait a second, things are a bit messed up here, aren't they. Let me try to clarify:

"Reversing the Scales" doesn't give you a skill reward ... at least not directly. Instead you must pick the quest "Malaquire's Test" from Magi Malaquire in Lion's Arch. He will give you a Signet of Capture, which you can then use to capture the skill you want from a boss that uses it. The quest "Reversing the Scales" takes you to an area where you can meet a necro boss that has Animate Bone Fiend.

BTW ... strictly speaking you are wasting a skill point by capturing that skill, because it is available as a quest reward for free later in the game. But that's MUCH later, so if you really like that skill and desperately want it, go ahead and capture it.

Yeah, you'll need to have the quest "Signet of Capture" and the Capture Sigent equipped. When you kill the Necrid boss (the aim of Reversing the Skale), you will be able to capture Bone Fiend. To do this, stand next to his dead body and use the skill.

Ok so as i can see theres no other point for the "skill points" but just for buying skills? is that correct? thanks. Yeah and since the bone fiends are stronger than the bone horrors im gonna go ahead and steal the skill. Thanks

Go all the way through ascalon settlement, and follow the curve. Hes in that little are up there, overlooking the plains to the NW-W. You have to go to the swamps, and kill Lord Timot (Level 21). He has 3 level 18 Executioners with him, and the place is loade with mergoyles. I did the quest at level 12, with full henchman party. He isn't that hard. He likes to take a walk, so if you do not kill him the first time, and you die...you have to search the whole area.

Do these undead minions have the same health decay rate as the Bone horrors?
