Searching for Aidan - Guild Wars Forums

I'm in the fishing village but I cannot find Aidan anywhere! I need him for my last ranger skill in pre-sear... which direction from the village should I be searching for him? Thanks!

Try the pre searing guide. It's pretty good. Here's a link to the ranger skills.

Also (apologies if this sounds insulting because you already knew--though this will be helpful), every quest has an arrow on the compass or a burst symbol denoting where your goal is.

Aidan, if you select your quest (Hunter's Horn or something along those lines, I believe?), should be within the burst symbol--which you can get to by following the arrow.

And, as said, this applies to basically all quests, with goals denoted by the arrow/burst.

Thanks for the help :-) I didn't realize that I needed to speak to the Troubador in Ashford Village in order to get the quest to find Aidan, I was just off wandering trying to find him LOL Got the quest, got my arrow and now I am off!

Well, you don't need the Hunter's Horn quest to find Aiden or to get his ranger skills quest. however, having that quest can helkp you find him if you don't already know where he is already - ie just follow the arrows :P

I searched the areas surrounding the fishing village for close to an hour and couldn't find any green diamond to signify a NPC was in the area - I'll get a chance to play GW again tonight, armed with the Hunters Horn quest, so no doubt I should be able to find him then :-)

Fishing village in Wizards Folly right?

Aiden is behind it. If ou go up the hill where the merchant is.. up the top will be a Ascalon soldier.. with a forested region behind there.. go that way and up to the "left".. he's standing out by himself in front of a "house" by a dock...

but if you can't find him, just grab the Hunter's Horn quest and follow the arrow on your mini-map once you have purified it.. that wll lead you right to him

Does he despawn after completing mission? Seemed like he was gone. Guess I should look again.

Unless Aidan decided to relocate from the time I last talked to him he should be where the red "X" is in this map I put up real quick. The circle should be the "fishing village". Hope this helps.

Yeah, after you do the mission leading you to him, he splits if you zone. First skill trainer in post searing offers the skills, but the skill points are wasted.
