reason for no auction house? - Guild Wars Forums

ok, so a lot of people here want to see an auction house.

however, Anet didn't put one in the game...
it seems most people think that Anet just "forgot" to put one in.

but maybe Anet had a reason? maybe they thought about putting one in, but decided against it?

if this is so... anyone got a guess as to the reason for not including an auction house?

It would be nice... SOE put an integrated marketplace into EQ with the Bazaar, where players simply listed items with a buy-out price in a specific bag. When you clicked on that AFK player-seller, his list of wares came up just like any merchant, and you could choose to pay the listed price or pass. SOE even included a search engine where you could specify price range, equipment type, slot type, bonus modifier ranges, etc. The results would be listed in a window, and you could double-click a seller name in that window and auto-run to that player merchant.

There isn't one in there, correct. That doesn't mean there won't be one in there though. They have said they are working on something. We can only hope it is released soon, preferably with the new areas. No reason to speculate without anymore official words.
