Default Glowing creatures

Hi all,

Please be gentle but I am new here. I havn't been playing GW long and already I have a few questions

Firstly I am a Necro/Ranger. I have noticed that when I am in combat I sometimes see creatures that are glowing red or green can anyone tell me why this is.

I have done a search in here on glowing creatures and glowing but turned up nothing.

Please help
Cheers

Those are boss creatures. Each colour corresponds to a different class.

Purple monsters - Mesmer Bosses
Blue monsters - Monk Bosses
Red monsters - Elementalist Bosses
Yellow monsters - Warrior Bosses
Green monsters - Necromancer Bosses
Green monsters - Ranger Bosses

Keep in mind, the Necromancer and Ranger bosses have a different shade of green. I believe the Necromancer is much brighter, while the Ranger is mucky.

Actually, the Ranger is supposed to be bright-green, while the Necro is supposed to be dark-green.
I must admit, they should make the difference bigger, because i have several times mistaken a necro-boss for a ranger-boss at first glance

O.K just thought, as you can now tell what a boss is should this determin what skills you throw at them? or is this glowing just to give you an indication of what spells/hexes wil be cast against you?

A little bit of both and it helps when you're trying to cap a skill from a boss. Unofortunately my boss-auras aren't working .

I've noticed that too, on my lower end computer. I think it's an issue with your video card, or possibly game settings.

And NPCs on the minimap are supposed to be yellow, not lime.

I've checked on their support site and it tells me to check the enable post-processing effects box in the advanced options window. Everytime i do, i come back to look and it becomes unchecked. I currently have a geforce mx on my computer. What about your other computer?
