I was just wondering if anyone has tried the purple+yellow combo on their armor, and how it looks? I was thinking of putting on a couple dye removers to lighten in to skin color, but it'd be nice to know ahead of time. Any posts would be great.

Yellow and purple are opposite colors on the color spectrum, so the mix would just turn brown. Also, dye remover just completely removes whatever dye is on your armor - it doesn't lighten up the dye. To lighten a dye you use silver dye.

I realise it would be brown.. somewhat of the color in the background for this forum. You're wrong on the second account. Try mixing red and two dye removers. Stare in amazement as you make pink without wasting money on a silver dye. Anyway.. I'd still like to see a screenshot. ^^

Huh. Didn't know you could mix dye remover and dye. Unfortunately, putting that dye on ringmail armor resulted in a reddish-dark brown color.

I don't know what ringmail looks like, but I did that exact combo on my ranger's studded leather, and it looked great. Make sure to apply a remover before you dye the armor, or it can turn out weird.

it changes the color...

most of the time to a lighter, or metallic color.
