I'm confused. The camera zooms in and out as you move the scroll wheel up and down, so that's dependent on the speed you roll it. The camera moves left and right as you press the right mouse button and move the mouse left and right, again the speed it moves is dependant on your hand. Not sure what you mean.

The first thing to do is to use a desktop mouse. AVOID TOUCH/TRACK PADS AT ALL COSTS. The sheer sensitivity of them means that your screen will likely be having a major attack of the shakes!

Also, use a combination of key presses and mouse movement. Eg, use c or t to target enemies (then press space to attack targeted creature), rather than trying to literally click on them to attack.

The manual is your friend. Use the enclosed keyboard layout to assist you

no probs.

And happy gaming!

(and I would seriously recommend you using a desktop mouse, just for added ease of playability!)

Yeah, if you have a laptop, get an external usb mouse. Oh and spend 20 minutes sitting on the toilet reading the manual :-)

Use the TAB button to quickly flip through the targets in your targeting range. Then use space to "engage" the target you pick. A mouse will make it much easier to control the camera also.

I play on a desktop but I made myself not having to use the mouse during battle I think if you play a monk on laptop, it's easier to use a desktop mouse since you dont have enough keys to work with. You can also map your keys differently. Maybe add page up and page down to zooming, a key to override the right mouse button etc...

Lightbulb No key for the scroll wheel

Also, as far as I know, there is no keyboard equivalent for the scroll wheel. I have a mouse with no wheel, and I'm locked in a the default zoom level. I'm just glad it stays there!

Any word on a patch for this?

But I think you can map other keys for zooming, just like I remapped WASD to ESDF for easier switching between movement and typing.

I think I may know your problem, If your finger is running near the bottom of the touch pad or the right side, that is the scroller. I found that out using excell at work

But it's definately much easier to use a normal mouse.

Much more control.

i'm using a different laptop now (faster, better graphics etc) and it's going ok. there's a setting with the finger pad that can turn the right hand side and bottom of it into a scrolly thing. i think it's just my noobie gameplay that's the problem now! **giggles**
