what would u say the best second profession was for a necro??

there is no best. there are certain second professions that don't make sense. Like a warrior....but as far as best just pick the one you want. Mesmer works pretty nicely with the skills provided to a necro. You can do some nice degen/shutdown builds or battery/shutdown builds. But Monk would be just as good for the healing/prot or even for the smite. I'm sure you could build a nice Minion Smite build (you can smite of minions right?). Ele might be tough because of the energy cost but it's certainly doable. You'll be a god amongst rangers if you can play a Battery/Trapper Necro/Ranger build....it's really up to you
