5 times territory swap - Guild Wars Forums

Changing territory has been part of the fun.
Problem is, you know it, territory swap is maxed at 5. A teammate told me the counter was reset at major updates. Can anyone confirm?
Side question: what are the reasons Anet decided to limit territory swap?

Say, back when black dye was 30k on American servers. It was only like 5k on European. People could take advantage of this, you see?

Also, if it wasn't limited, people might keep switching to the continent that has the Favor of the Gods to be able to access UW and FoW.

Your teammate is wrong, A.net has stated many times once you change 5 times, your stuck where you are.

It will not be reset... maybe if an expansion comes out, other then that no.

Thus the reason there is a big warning when on the changing screen.

Yes favor seems to be the reason. So when i feel like travelling, ill go on international.
By the way, are the statues of Balthazar and Grenth in ToA international ever animated?

Territory changes are when you switch between the U.S. and European servers. I don't think adding another CD key will up your changes; it'd be a waste of money besides. This question might be better directed towards Anet.

Actually MJ12trooper changing territories is an in game thing. The others are talking about something else. To change your territory; login and look on the bottom left of the Campfire screen. Select "Edit Account" or is it "Manage Account", whatever, you get the idea.

There will be a list of options, one of which is to change territories. Beware you can only change 5 times as this discussion highlights.
