Question Altering Hair Color

K, I've played ROSE (http://www.roseon.com), Phantasy Star Online, and another MMO (too long ago to remember the name). In 2 outta the 3 you could alter your hair color after the character was created.

Is there a shop, option, spell, curse, or whatever that allows you to Select a different hair coloring? (wanted red hair on my necromancer, but the first time through I just spaced out and forgot to check the hair colors).

Silly question... yes.
I just got this game yesterday as a BDay gift, and I'm already up to level 5 and REALLY don't want to have to run through everything again to regain my spells.

You can't change your hair color unless you start over. Level 5 is easy to get to. So if it's that big a deal then just start over. Otherwise you'll just have to deal. Sorry. You have 3 other slots to make characters as well. You could make another character that has red hair. Just a thought.

OH! And welcome to GW.

Talking Lev5 = 20min

I agree with the post above, getting to lev5 takes only 10-20 min if u know the way.. So my advice is to start a new character.. I know it's boring to do the same quests over again, but it's only 20min of suffering and then you will have a character that you will love for the rest of your lifietime

while it is true that the option isn't available now, it took other games a while to implement it too, but they did. GW is still a young game, the devs are constantly adding new things to it, so who knows, if we ask nicely we may receive it at some point down the line.

(did the games you mentioned have this option from release? just curious. it took Asheron's Call 2 two years and just before the game's death to do it, but they did do it. heh..)

Doh... oh well. I'll have to restart.

Any Unreal Championship fans?
I was going for a look similar to Lauren (the Necris). Pasty white skin with red hair. Since I normally only play 1 character, then sick with that one until I get bored of the game, I'll be starting over (*sigh).

If I delete my character, can I reregister her name? Or do I have to change it from Xenovia Blackheart so something else?

Anet is aware of the request to be able to change hair color, and they sounded like it was a do-able request.

K.. but what kinda timeframe before it gets implimented? I mean.. if it's a coming patch in the next week.. whatever. If not, I'll just start over.

Don't hold your breath. Sounds like it'll happen 'sometime'.

Alright....
Thanks for the info.

Last question,
Do I need to change my character's name when I recreate, or simply deleting the current going to free up the name?

Basically... I'm too lazy and uncreative to come up with another last name/2nd word to the name.

When you delete your charecter, the name becomes avaibale for only you for a short time then it is open for everyone; but it is available. Hope that helps
