Default Is it possible...?

Is it possible to have your evry piece of your warrior armour with the superior absorbtion rune? If so, how much less damage would be recieved?

Thanks , Merlin

Before anyone rudely instructs you to use the "search" options here - try looking around regarding "rune stacking"

Runes do not stack:if you apply a Superior Fire Rune (+3 to Fire) to each piece of armour, you will only get a bonus of +3 to your fire attribute. Same would be said if you applied a Minor +1 to gloves, Major +2 to leggings & Superior +3 to boots - the best of the 3 would apply so you'd only have +3 to Fire.
Having said that though - the negatives that come along with those Major/Sups would stack (i.e. -50 major fire, -75 sup fire = -125 health)

As Volarian said, positive effect's from runes don't stack while the negative effects do stack.

In your question you'll get -3 damage absorbtion from the Sup Runes of Absorbtion. You can waste 500K gold to buy 5 sup runes of absorbtion and put all 5 in your armor, but you'll still only get the effect from one of them - ie -3 damage absorbtion, not -15 like your hoping for.

And Any health penalities of runes WILL stack - unlike their effects >_>

Thanks for the quick replies.

@ #1 I would have searched but I didnt know the correct term was "rune-steacking" . Thanks for explanation about the +2 and +3 fire runes, I gather this applies to them all.

@ #2 I thaught absorption absorbed a certain percentage of the damage given? Guess not . Thanks for the clear reply

@ #3 I found this out when I tried vogors together .

Thanks everyone

Actually, abosorption works like this:

[It's Global!]

You get hit, the damage is calculated, then it is reduced to scale on what reductions you have/pieces of EQ. Say You had a Sup Abs, and Knights for other reduce, this will factor into how damage is calculated/Truncated.

Hope this helped

To add onto what Shimus said about Absorbtion -

Absorbtion is global as well as being a fixed amount - not a percentage or portion or anything like that. All absorbtion effects are added up as applicable and then the total absorbtion is taken from the damage.

IE say you have a Major Rune of Absorbtion (-2 damage) and Knights boots (-2 damage) and then got wacked by a Grawl for 10 damage.. normally you'd suffer 10 damage, but because you have a rune of absorbtion and knights boots on.. you have -4 total damage absorbtion.. thus instead of taking 10 damage, you only take 6 damage (10 - 4 = 6).

#1 - yes, this is the same for all runes. No runes will stack with runes of the same attribute. anyone who says they do is lying or ignorant.. the only thing that "stacks" with runes is health penalties
