Default HELP! I left Pre-searing and didnt pick up any skills!

hello I am new to this game... And I was a bit confused with everything.. and I did some quests and got lvled up to 4 and picked a R/E

then Sir TYdus asked me if I wanted to go fight or something...

SO I did... and now I am at post-searing... And I have heard that you can get only certian skill from certian trainers... Since I didn't pick up any skills from Pre searing... Can I still get them now?? I can't go back right?

I hope I can because if I can't then it looks like i missed out on all these skills:

Ranger: Charm Animal, Comfort Animal, Dual Shot, Ignite Arrows. Point Blank Shot, Power Shot, Read the Wind, Troll Unguent

Elementalist: Flare

What can I do? Or do I have to start over?

I would suggest you store all the money and things you wish to keep in the account storage and start over. Otherwise you will have to spend skill points on a lot of those skills and it is not worth it.

You definetely missed out on some very needed skills there. You can buy these skills in town but the more skills you buy the more expensive it gets(up to 1k max) and since you're new it would be best to just start over.

keep this character in post sear for storage and start another.

back in a moment with some guides to help.

you will want to save the skill points you would have spent on skills.

EDIT

these should help

I would also suggest the same thing. You could stay and buy skills in ascalon that you missed, but in the end, those skill points would be wasted and would cause you to waste more time leveling at the end of the game just to buy skills. Just start over. Now that you have a basic understanding of the game, it should go much faster.

i've found i have silly amounts of skill points left over, i guess i could change my secondary and spend a few, but i've only been getting skills that i need to use at some time, although i understand people that play PvP's need to unlock everything.

Look for the "Xunlai Agents" in Ascalon City and talk to one of them to open up the account storage. Anything placed in it is accessable to any of your characters, including gold.

Even if you name the new character the same as the old your armor and customized weapons will not be usable by the new one, but everything else will be. Salvage any runes or upgrades and/or sell the custom stuff.

Don't worry about weapons too much as you'll be getting better ones soon anyway, unless of course you bought a high-end weapon.

just delete it. you aren't that far anyway unless you did A LOT of pre-sear quests. delete, remake and change your ranger/ele to a ranger monk because ranger/eles suck.

Skill points are used to purchase skills. You will get many skills as quest rewards, just like those you failed to get the first time through pre-sear. Others have to be bought from skill traders or acquired with a Signet of Capture, which is also a skill you buy from a trader.

[edit] You earn a skill point with each level up and each mission you complete, plus one from a pre-sear quest. You continue to earn skill points after level 20.

That's just a personal opinion and /mo or /elem are both OK. Early on you'll probably only use/need ranger skills anyway but later you might experiment with those from the 2nd. Don't worry about it.

What these guys said.

Also, R/E's DO NOT suck, and even though I play a R/Mo, a R/E is still a good class and is perfectly capable of being useful, as one of my friends has proven.

Start only over again if you feel like doing everything again. But, imho, half those skills are eaisly gotten post-searing <master ranger nente outside post-searing ascalon gives charm animal/and essential skills>

and Flare can be purchased, I believe. With skill points/bit of gold.

But if you'd rather save skillpoints/money, remake the character, simple as that.

Skill points are really needed for other skills, cause if you spend them on skills you can get through quests its not neccesaire spend skill points on it.
From the 75 skills for each profession there are 15 elite skills.
These are given via a signet of capture wich cost... 1 skill point.
Then you have 60 skills left to collect.
From that 60 there are 18 to 20 skills wich you cant get with a quest and that one you have to buy too with a skill point.
So totally you need between 60-70 skill points ingame to collect all the skills and unlock them for both professions.
Through missions you collect 20 and with some quests you collect some points too.
The rest you collect through leveling. Each lvl you get 1 skill point.
So maybe you collect normally ingame between 50-60 skill points.
The other skill points needed can be given when you level up after level 20.
You dont reaise in lvl but you DO earn a skill point.
Thats the way why leveling after level 20 doesnt mean you have completed the game :P
