Default My friend wants to know the population in guildwars

My friend played at release and it was crowded always in town. But he left when his PC broke and then lost his game...but he might buy it again.

Has the population dropped since release? Stayed pretty much same? Or is bigger now? Thanks

Noone plays GW anymore, ArenaNet went bankrupt and this site is about to be geared towards WoW.

Main districts are busy as usual. It had prolly slowed down than when it was released but you still find lots of people/

ALSO tell your friend that he does not need to buy the game again.
If he knows his login and password he can just download the client of guildwars.com and then login.
It will update the game for him.

I doubt Ncsoft is going to go bankrupt, they have lineage, very popular game lineage 2, city of heroes, guild wars and two games being developed and one near release.

I didn't say anything about NCSoft, I was talking about ArenaNet. They're two different companies.

The client can be found at www.guildwars.com/downloads/clientdownload.html

I wouldn't recommend this for anyone without a really good high speed connection. I just downloaded the client at a freinds house so I can play there too. While the client is a measly 73K or so, the updates included about 100Mb of downloads. Luckily for me, I averaged 400-500Kbps transfer.

You might want to /end Sarcasm.

Guild Wars in my experience is a big populace, depending on where your are in the game. Some areas are like ghost towns while other have 10 districts. It's all where you are. But If I had to guess..I'd say there's a decent amount playing. As for getting online fast, if you have a fast speed internet connection, you can reference the client download link in the post above me. It doesn't matter which way you aquire the client, you'll still have to wait through updates, and if you want an account without going anywhere, go to http://www.NCSOFT.Com get a master account and add a GW account for the price they're asking.

Anyone have an idea of how many people are allowed per district at any given time? I would like to know because i saw about 182~ish districts in Lion's Arch during the Halloween event.

Its supposed to be 100 per district but i think its probably a little less than that, maybe a 95 buffer, so people can move inbetween districts easier
