i own both a 15>50 req8 summit axe and a 15>50 req9 hand axe. Specially the summit axe was/is worth a lot of gold, but i customized both anyway. +35% damage most of the time (i rarely dip below 50 in pvp, which is the only place where consistent damage output matters) is a great thing to have

I only customize warrior & ranger weapons. Caster weapons should remain uncustomized, you don't need that damage anyway.

It's definitely worth it to customize, the damage increase is very noticeable. If it's a weapon you're going to keep awhile and not sell to other players I'd recommend customizing it. Also, customize any collector's or quest reward weapons you use when you have or can get multiple copies of them.

Does customization boost the extra damage one gets from various warrior and ranger skills, or just the base damage of the weapons?
