Default the 20/20 Soul Reap offhand

So should we start stockpiling this item for the release of factions? since there is going to be many many new skills for each character, i sense that some Soul Reaping necro skills will be made, and this collector's offhand might become valuabe in Factions in case its not availabe then.

Im just wondering, because im debating whether i should keep the 1 that i have or just stockpile a few more for the release.

umm, im not sure y it wouldn't b available in factions, if this occured they'd half to nerf alot of ppls gold items, but yea u could get one just incase u wanna try out a new skill or something of that type

I was just afraid it would become something like the HoD sword where they discontinue it.

But you bring up a good point about them having to nerf....

I'd be more worried about:

The Nolani Academy +5 Energy Wand
The Firey Flame Spitter (10% spell recharge)
The Henge of Denravi Lieutenants Helm (halves duration of hexes)
The Fires of the East trapper staff
The Cities of Ascalon -50HP Grim Cesta

All of those are widely used by high level characters and may not be quite what the developers intended.

That is the staple offhand of the "55 Monk" farmer that alot of people anticipate being effected strongly by the next update cycle.

by searching guidwiki for the quest i presume its this quest reward:

* Inscribed Staff:

+4 Energy, Chaos damage: 4-7 (req. 3 Domination Magic)
+3 Energy (while health is above 80%)
+3 energy (while health is above 60%)
+3 energy (while health is above 40%)

yea, if u put a +5 energy mod on it, its got the biggest energy bonus in the game! and since trappers dont get hurt often u dont have to wry about the whole health thing

i went and got all of the items that jetdok posted, pretty neat to have items that have a lil different mods on them, there's also a cane and a bow outside of nolani academy that r pretty neat, 33% more damage, attack speed -67%

PS: i sure hope that the -50 hp cesta doesn't get removed or nerfed, my invincimonk is my main source of in-come, my only source for that matter, then ill have to get a -20 hp offhand; which'll make 55-hp monking tons harder

Why don't they just use the +15E/-1 Regen items and swap out? Aren't the traps going to trip before your energy recharges all the way anyways?

Another thread entirely I guess...and I've never trapped, so I'm just curious as to how it all works to make the staff so useful.

Ive yet to see an wilderness survival offhand, therefore you couldnt get the +12 and +15 energy.

Might as well just take the 18 and have your regen.
