I run Elona when I get bored, do it for 1k and you can fill a group in 5 minutes, run it in 7, at five runs an hour that's 25k, it's still fun to me.

Default Honest ways to make money

Theres a billion ways to make honest money in GW u just have to find the one u like....if u get bored easily or have ADD then u wont make any money. My step-brother personally likes running the infusion run...he only charges 500g each run and is a guaranteed run...he made 27K in 2 hrs in front of me one time....

I personally like being a salesman. I am proud to say i have about 270K in my bank right now and that was with humble begginnings. I never liked Rangers but my step-bro was making VERY good money by going into the UW with our guild in a trapper group. He got me and my neighbor into making one. Since all of us knew each other the ecto's basically stayed in the family. I asked them to give me all the drops just for that day. I sold 42K worth of ectos....nd paid em bak in 1 week....after having made over 300K...to do this...i used the money from the ectos to buy items i saw at cheap prices and that were in demand....then...if u have the time to do this...just sit in Lion's Arch and sell it for 2-3K more....However...when ur selling big items like a Victo's Axe u can easily make a 7-9K profit...i also got lucky nd found a perfect req. 9 (15 >50%) fellblade...i modified it with a +30 health mod nd sold it for 155K....so0 yeah kiddos...either run ppl short, easy runs...(Thunderhead Keep is getting famous since the mission is messed up...again! and u can run that for 1-1.5K and the way is short) or u can be a salesman....i hear that the Rolls of Parchment market is getting better as well...Well i hope that helped...

Best way? Scamming! Lol, jk and Ebay (and other similar GW gold selling sites) isn't really legit either.

I ran for a while but it is kind of slow. I'm at like 1.5 mil and that's all from farming. I only made like 50k from running and about 30k from each character when they went through the game. The HoH chest has had some good drops, gotten like 3. Also, the IDS farm used to be QUITE profitable. Sold my first one for like 200k before it became common fact where it was. If it was gold could have made millions :/ . 55 HP monking is something I do not do and I don't even have one. My monk just PvPs. FoW chest runs are decent, like 25k every 15 min or so (if your group is good and can get at least 3-4 chests a run). My wealth comes from farming though. A few lucky drops can net you A LOT. Best drops I've had are 15^50 Req.8 Fellblade, 15^50 Req. 9 Storm Bow, and a 15^50 Req. 10 Mursaat Horn Bow. These 3 drops are probably the reason I am a millionaire. Just farm, but it is hard now that people overfarm everything.

i donnow..... i think that if you actually waist money to buy GAMING money you got no life..... lol

well, i mostly farm in Tombs lately. do you want to know ranger build?
Barrage, Throw dirt, Lighting reflexes, rebirth, Pet, comf pet, Trall enguent or healng breese, savage shot or distracting shot, favorable wind or Winnowing

and i know some groups are rude, but isnt like that everywhere? do like 5 practice runs and youll become pro at it. Each run i make at least 1 to 2k gold AND drops of Green and ectos. Actally, i got my 4 bows set (poisonner, vamp, zealots, cold dmg, all 15^50) , my 3 sets of armor, my 55 monk.... i dont rly play for money anymore, cuz i dont need to buy anything major. i just have my 20k on side for factions and thats it.... its just a game

I find farming in UW using my 55mo and a Necro pretty descent. You just have to find a really good partner.

well i had a strat i havent used in a while to get started, but it requires being patient. koreans in the intl dis 1 augury were farming griffons like MAD (i once saw 23 55 monks go through the portal in one minute). They sell their stuff REALLY cheap (like unid shields with 8-9 req for 400g) and other stuff REAL cheap. bought from them, solt to americans.
cant really do that now eh?
for me, its either farming stuff nobody else farms (like ice imps, for example), power trading, and occasionally parchment creation (5 wood and 20g outside of sardelac for 1 parchment. costs about 70g max, resell in bluk for 85g apeice) and things like that. I find not buying when you don't have to works well also (unless u see an AMAZING deal). Just playing with your character in general seems to help make money.
Oh and if you are in an awsome guild or have exp'd friends, start pvping and win hall of hero's- 4 things drop for 8 people, all worth a lot (minimum is a sigil for 20k). and if u hold it a few times you can get more stuff (like crystallines for example). Plenty o ways

i used to make loads griffon farming but then they decided to take that out and introduce the necro "queen" and i tryed that, never with any luck lol..and so now i mostly do FoW chest runs, which can turn out good but i'll spend 10k or so on some keys and then end up getting a bunch of crappy shadow staves or a healing ankh...so the chest runs are really PURE luck and sometimes you do get lucky with the chaos axes and shadow blades...and is it just me, or in oro/fa farms, the tank NEVER gets the green drop? =/ i think Anet is picking on me

99% of the main spots ar so over farmed the drop rates are amazingly poor. All down to luck where ever you go now. I farmed the ettins for 2 hours getting loads of gold drops that turned into rubbish major runes. had a spare 5 min did one more run later that day got 2 sup vigors, 50k in the bank, but totally unexpected.

I figure its now about finding different ways to farm without getting bored. I oftern change my build every run to tweak it. After a while you've got a good build running and whilst doing so you'll find you've made a nice profit in the mean time.

Ettin farming is right outside of Beetletun, not the "watchtower coast exit" but the other one...its really not a hard build, i usually bring 2 enchants (mending, balt spirit) 1 healing (healing breeze) one running skill to get past the mesmers before the ettins (sprint) 3 attack skills (i use axe for the cyclone skill) and 1 interupt skill b/c you have to interupt their heal sig...thats about it

I'm not super rich (300K cash, 15K armor on 6 toons, nice weapons and all the runes I need). I don't Ebay! Lots of hard farming, plus just doing missions will add some cash to your stash.

My ways, as a warrior, to make money:

- Farming Hill Giants in Riverside (takes 10 minutes and requires luck (to get a good rune), but it provides some nice interlude if I don't have much gaming time and I get materials i need from it) Profit: can be up to 30k, however don't count on any profit besides some rune unlocks or 600 g from a sup blood rune.
- Farming hydra's. Takes about 30-45 minutes, profit: 1-3k with a lucky drop a lot more.
- Farming FoW spiders. Takes about 30-45 and some practice. Profit once you got the hang of it: 2 maybe 3 shards (7 maybe 10.5k) 1 to 2k on items that go direct to the merchant. Maybe a lucky drop. Costs 1k.
- Farming Griffo's in the scar: Nostalgic reasons mostly. Profit 1k maybe.

My favorite: Help guidlies with missions/do missions for myself. Also makes a steady flow of money.

hmm i make 3k by the time my inventory is full (and its not totally empty cos i got a couple things i cant fit in sotrage plus a backpack full of materials), the 3K is made up of 1.5 gold and jus sell all the other items for another 1.5K and if u get anything good u can jus sell it on for a bit extra cash.. dont think it takes 30-45 mins would say more like 15-20 but ill need to time it one day and check for certain.. thats my main income atm saved up 40K so far doin it and dont do it religiously or nothin jus occasionally

I did a FoW run last night. We went for about 2 hours and 10 shards droped. Of which 3 were for me Anyways, if you can't do those runs do to favor issues, than I'd suggest Perdition Rock. I'll always buy Mahgo Claws for 200g each, and I've seen other people wanting them too. Not to mention I usually get 1 rare drop per run and end up with 3k or so per run. Maybe not great but better than some others I've tried.

Yeah find a few bulwarks and poof you've got cash. Really though gaining money is pretty easy once you have all the things you want. Once your equipment is set up the way you like it then you really have nothing else to spend cash on so you'd be suprised how fast that piddly little 3-4K a run adds up.
