Ensign, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. You are looked up to in this community, and for you to advocate activities that are clearly against Guild Wars' End-User License Agreement...

Someone who works hard, earns alot of money, and if you get paid decently enough, you can pay 1 Million gold after each hour of work. I doubt you'll do that by powertrading. So.. Who's doing better? People who take 500 hours to get 1 Million, or someone who takes 500 times less time to get 1 Million. I'd say the second one.

And no, I'm not an ebayer, I don't even farm. I'm just saying people shouldn't bitch about ebayers too much, even though it's against the rules, I still respect ebayers as much as other players. I even respect ebayers more then some farmers. Why? Some farmers think "Damn, I hate farming, but I need money", and farm for hunderds of hours, just work for several hours, and stop whining about ebayers, they're smarter then you are.

And for the non-ebayers. Powertrading can get you alot of money, some trades even gain you several Millions. It's not easy though, you need to know much about prices and know what you're doing, you can make 100K each hour just by sitting in LA.

So buying a sword for 100k and then selling for 20k is your idea of making losts of gold through power trading.

Nah what you do is buy say a hod sword for 150k then resell for 400k. You camp the most popular selling towns and look for good deals.

He doesn't sound like he's advocating it, just stating the fact that it does exist. We wouldn't allow any trading of the sort on these forums, but it's a cold hard fact that there are sites out there that sell gold for money and people do use them.

It's not the fact that they are using real money to get game items as I agree with the reasoning that to many their time is worth much more then the ammount of money spent on gold. My reason is simply that it is against the rules they agreed with to play this game and once again it seems the dishonest have a edge over the honest player. A.net is clearly against it so if you do it you are a dishonest player...there is no justifing yourself out of it...but that said I have friends in game that have done it. I just wish MMOs would make a legal format for it, make it legal entirely, or actually crack down on it.

ANet can't stop the ebayers, might as well join them, if I could, I'd ebay myself. Yes, it's against the rules, and I agree with ANet on forbidding ebaying, but it's still possible. Like you said, make it legal entirely, or make it absolutly impossible.

In my opinion Anet should cash in on Ebayers.
Why not set up their own shop that undercuts the other ebayers.
Ie: 100k for say ??3.50; 200k = ??5 etc.
I know that should I ebay, I would prefer to deal with Anet, & they can just add it to your account without the need for face to face trading.

somewhat hard to show an SS when it happened in the PAST.. gee... that took some brainpower... ah...

But, I assumed it was some idiot who won HoH with a fame farming group (he paid for fame farming possibly??) I don't really care why he sold it for that price, I just cared that I got that deal.
