Default Non-english GW: Factions?

I live in Canada, and up here we get both French and English version of games/software. The only copies of Factions I can find are French.

If I buy the French Factions, will it install correctly on my original English GW?

More importantly, will the voice acting etc be in English? I know you can change the language and all that.

Your question got me thinking and I did a small test. I have english European version of Faction and I changed the language from the menu to french. All the text changed to french and I tried replaying the cutscene at Minister Cho's Estate. The result was that voice acting also had changed to french.

So my guess is that it probably doesn't matter if you buy the french version and have the language set to english from the menu.

Edit: And with this discovery, I'm having way too much fun listening to the voice acting on other than english. Probably due to lack of sleep.

Press F11 next time you are playing and select the language you want to hear/read.

The text will immediatly switch to the language you selected, but in order to hear the voices in the language you just selected you must restart GW.

So no, it doesn't matter what version of GW you buy.

My guess is that localized version boxes contain the out-game items in their respective languages, such as a French art book, reference card or whatever. Guild Wars itself is already multi-lingual.

Actually I didn't even need to restart to hear the voice language change. It just downloaded new files when entering the area, so changing before the loading screen should be enough.

Oh, I guess that's new, it used to be that way when I played original GW.

Just as an update, I installed the "French" GW Factions and I couldn't even tell it was a French copy. Everything was in english.

Oh well. Works for me!
