Talking New Player Map/ Location and Quest help.

I'm somewhat new to GW. Playing through Prophecies now. I have a level 11 E/Mo. Have been to various parts of the map post-searing. But still feel a little overwhelmed as to what areas I need to go to next, have I completed all the quests that I can. And I notice there are other maps, islands and such that I have no idea of how to get to. Is there a place here somewhere that can answer some of these questions and help guide me in my GW journey?

I mainly don't want to make a mistake and miss out on good quests, or move ahead to another area before I am ready, like I did the pre-searing and post-searing thing.

I have been having a lot of fun, and learning how the game works.
Thanks for the help.

You can check out guildwiki, you should be able to find answers for all your questions, beware of spoilers though =)

Or, just ask here, someone surely will answer

Go to every town. Talk to everyone. Do all the quests they give you before moving on. Some people will not give you a quest until you have done another one so keep checking back once in a while. You can look at the maps here to see where all of the towns are. Try not to get run anywhere. If your goal is to just get to the end of the game then you miss a lot along the way.
Go exploring, map out the whole place. Don't worry about the areas you can't get to yet. You will finish it soon enough. If you need help or have questions in game look me up.

THanks, will do. This is exactly why I want to make sure not to miss out on anything. I am definately not in a hurry to get to the end game. I want to experience all that there is in GW. That's why I haven't even purchased Factions yet. I figure with all that there is to do and doing it with a few different characters, It will take a while to complete. Which is fine by me.

So I guess I am right in assuming that the other areas in the game, will be granted once the area I am in now is complete? It is so cool while out exploring discovering new areas and travel spots!

Thanks. I think this helps me along the way.
Now another question. If I DO buy the Factions expansion. Can I start one of the new professions, (Assassin, Ritualist) and play them through the Prophecy stage first as well.

If I buy it, can I play prophecies in all my new characters, then move on to the Factions stages?

You can't start an Assassin or Ritualist in Prophecies. You can start any profession in Factions. If you link the Factions account with your Prophesy account you can play all your Prophesy characters in Factions (and vice versa) but with limited content.

You mentioned that the move from pre-searing to post-searing was what made you worried about missing content. Let me assure you that that jump is the only time you actually can't go back. Once you're in post-sear you can always go back to an area and do things you might have missed.
