my luck is all or none ... found 2 greens in back to back battles in Grenth's but none ever in all my trips there. found Wing's Axe and Kephket's Refuge in 2 straight days henching in those areas, but no other greens outside of trips to Tombs a few times (and I always got less than other party members from farming the Darknesses).

Greens don't seem to drop very often in cantha, for me anyway. If you're trying to farm a particular green from there by repeat killing the boss you can save alot of time by checking if it's actually weilding the weapon visually. I farmed Sskias sword this way for my warrior with a party of me and 2 guildies (no hench), he never dropped it if it wasn't carrying a sword with the correct skin for the green. If it was carrying the right skinned weapon, the green dropped for one of us.

Not totally sure if this is luck or actually how it works, but the odds of getting it seem to be greatly improved if you can actually see the weapon on the boss. Maybe someone else can confirm (or not) if this is true, but hope that was useful anyway.

Greens are vastly overrated. I don't see the point of them. Usually they are crap and you can't add mods. I have had a few and still preferred what I was using...couldn't even give the things away. Merchants seem to pay about 35gp for them...big deal.

Agreed, alot of greens have stats that aren't the most useful to say the least and aren't modable. Sometimes though there is the odd one that appears that has stats that are exactly what you are looking for, which (if you're not too fussed about the skin of the weapon) is very nice. With a little patience and multiple tries, you can go out farming and pick it up for free when a gold/collectors version of the weapon and the appropriate upgrades may cost you a fair bit overall. Greens are a nice alternative for players that don't want to (or can't) spend much money but want perfect stats on their items.

Greens = da devil.

Greens are earned by a bunch of n00bs(not saying all peeps with greens are n00bs). Why? Because it's the same damn 5 man group with different names that farms oro for them. It doesn't take skill, it's not hard, its unfair to anyone who doesn't have the time to create a new char just for that purpose and gives an unfair advantage to 10 year olds who contribute nothing to our society but "stuff". I won't go further on that matter.

I have one good character, an elementalist, and my chances of getting a GOOD ele item(like ragos wand or w/e the air one is) is none to LOLOMHGROFLOWNEDGTHO

Nothing bad in there, you can check it. I changed the bad parts of the acronyms into "H" so that they stand for heck. Or Happytreefriendsandfriends. Both work well I think.

Anyways yeah. I'm never going to have a Rago item. I still slaughter stuff though. And I know, fire builds are lame an unoriginal but I end up doing more damage than a pathetic warrior when it comes to afflicted.

Well... with my skills I can solo farm bosses (if they're in the right place) to get their special weapons... for example - Sskai! If you get him quite far away from the rest of the naga and lure you can fight him 1v1 without the henchies. Usually I can beat him 10 times within an hour and get his sword 2/3 times perhaps? ... People who take henchies wont find greens as much because henchies steal them ... But it is based on luck..

im a full time student + i work + i have a life, so on average i get not more then 10 hrs/week of GW time.

when i had my monk i was doin the 5 man runs, but since i deleted her (like 3 mounths ago) havent done it.

about my henchman party when i got drago bow, i went using my ranger cuz its impossible to fing a team as ranger there.

how i got my rago wand? i was farming with my ele (55ing and earth builds), made money VERY fast, and just bought it.

honesly, if i would FARM for it, it would take me 10x more time. these wands dont drop on every run left and right. it RARELY drops, and if it does, you got 1 chance of 5! i did the 30k over 3 hrs of ONLY 55ing. yes its boring as hell.... but its better then farming for the wand for 3 mounths like alot of people who are trying o get it droped for them.

dont waist your time, farm few hours, and just buy it. my ele havent EVER got to warcamp anyways.

I had one low level rit green drop for me, sold it for 500g. The other green I have is because I finished Factions and a guildie gave me Victo's axe.

25-50% of the time I kill a boss a green drops for a member of my party. Then again...Ive been dual farming bosses since factions release and selling the greens.

the green drops seem to be linked to xp points, i farmed loads with my monkie and got green every 3 runs or so in the furnace, after two weeks of ids solo 55 monk runs to mineral i was getting 3 or more sup run and green drops per visit to the furnace

When soloing Grenth's Footprint, I normally get a boss to drop a green one out of every 2-3 times that I kill him.

So, if you're in a party (even with henchies), you can take those 33%-50% odds and dilute them by the number of people in your party.

That may explain your bad luck.
