If I recall correctly, one of the business models of GW was that you don't have to own each piece of the game to play, and that people can buy Factions and not have GW.

If this is still the case, if you buy only Factions, do you only get the 2 new classes? Or do you get all the classes and not access to all the old lands?

I'm guessing you just get the 2 new classes, but I figure I'd ask first anyways.

You get the 6 Classes that are in the original plus the 2 that are factions exclusive, the 6 classes from the original will always be available , even in chapter 10, unless they change that at some point.

Yes you do not get acess to Tyria which is the "old land". you only get to play in cantha.

There are also some skills which are Phropecies exclusive which of course you wont get access too, but in skills again there are a few skill which are in the original, which will be available in all the chapters.
