Default Weapon customization...do percentages stack?

Say I've got a +14% dmg sword and I customize it...adding the +20% dmg....does that make it +34%?

Thanks in advance

Yes they stack, but nope.

It's the X % of one + the y % of the other.

Meaning, you calculate the advantage 1st go-round then calculate the advantage 2nd go-round, after the fact of the 1st.

Simply, if you have 20% of something on top of 20% of something else, it isn't ever 40% total. Do the math.

Things like this NEVER stack as though you can just add the % adjustments.

heh

point being, they stack, but only when one after the other's first one has been counted.

ps: I don't even know what the hell the joke was up there ^.

*shrug*

hate to bring it up, but from the last post, it looks like your saying the second +% damage is calculated after the first has been calculated, meaning basedamage+1st%=damage1, then damage1+2nd%=total damage
or is it just me?

100 +20% = 120
120 +15% = 138
so 20 and 15 would turn out to be 38% instead of 35%?

- I turned out with the same results when doing 15% first, so order does not matter in this case (i think, not really a math genius)

and also if you want to really load out the damage you could go for a specific 20% damage mod therefore expanding on Gonzo's points

100 + 20% = 120
120 + 15% = 138
138 + 20% = 165.6 (Big damage )

but either way if your a warrior you should customize EVERY item you intend to use, you lose out on some serious damage otherwise, not worth losing out on damage if you want to use a weapon for a while and then just sell it later.
