FoW is worth so much...because the game demands expensive materials.

FoW means nothing. Get 1.5K and be happy that you can buy other stuff instead.

IF you want the look of FoW armor, sure - go for it. If you prefer the look of a different armor that has the stats your looking for, then FoW isn't worth it.

I would advise you to this first:

Play all professions in PvE and PvP.
Deck out all your chars in good (collector and crafter and maybe greens) equipment as well as some decent armour. 1.5k is ok but 15k is nice as a way to say "this char is ok now".

1.5mil probably won't be enough money to do all that... Just think about it.

You'll need money for the base price of the 1.5k armours+money for the materials. Then you'll need money to craft yourself some weapons. If you're building up a warrior then you'll need money for upgrades, same for staff-wielding casters. You'll need to bring all those chars through the game so you may want to pay runners.
1.5mil is gone pretty fast imo.

And I only talked about equipment... you'll have to buy the majority of your skills remember?

"Is it worth it?" is a question that only you can answer. FoW armor is only for looks, so if you think it looks good enough to warrent the cost, then go for it. If you dont' like the looks and are just buying it for "status", then you would just be wasting your money.

I LOVE my female Ele FoW armor, and I didn't like any of the Prophecies 1.5k or 15k Elementalist armors. But I wouldn't buy it for any of my other characters as I dont like the other profession's FoW armor.

Now if I could just find a way to switch the stats from hydro to tempest...

There are two main problems I have with FoW:
1) 95% of players don't know what FoW armor looks like
2) 4.9% of players look down on you for it because they think that "you're -ONLY- good at farming and don't know how to PvP

The other .1% of players give you the appreciation you deserve, even if it is shortlived.
But I love my FoW for my Ele and don't regret it.

I love my Ranger FoW armour (Pictured left). Yes, it is damm expensive and isnt anything to get for your character lightly. It took me months, to get the materials and gold up together and it made me broke at the end of it. Was it worth it? Hell yes! I would not change it for anything.

Now would i do it for my other characters? Probably not. Mind you, I only have one other main character, so anything may be possible.

Incidently, a lot of warriors actually only go for the FoW Helm. Maybe try that first and take it from there.

I don't have FoW armor nor am i planning to make 1 for my rt, its not anything special other than it is much expensive with a different arts. The Armor art for Ritualist is crap, imo. I like the 15k kurzick rt armor more. Warrior armor looks okay but i think the 15k kurzick armor is cooler. it cost way too much with not so good art.

I didnt use search as i know where are they located at.

At main page of Guild Wiki, click Armor in the big green box, then at the top, there isa box with 3 column, under By art or by status, the link to Obsidian Armor is the FoW armor, click on it, and you can see pic for every class. click on the pic to see a enlarge pic. Or click on the Sex above the pic to see more information on said armor.

If I were you, I would buy some 15k armor, and save the rest for a rainy day

It's always nice to have some money in storage incase you ever need anything

I agree to you.

15k Armor might be a bit common at times; but yeah many people don't even know or even notice and appreciate your hard earned FoW armor for more than 5 seconds... But if it what makes you happy and proud of yourself, then go for it
