Default Eviction of Guild Leaders

If you have a Guild Leader who hasn't been on in weeks, and does so quite often (disappearing for weeks or months that is), yet they refuse to step down, is there a way to evict them and elect a new leader?

I think if the leader does not come on for 3 months or something the most active officer becomes leader.

Yes, just leave and make another one and invite everyone in. It is, after all, the leader's guild which he or she probably founded and paid for and they are in charge, no matter how bad their charge may be.

i believe i have seen something like if you are not active with in a month, your leadership of the guild will be automatically transffered to some officer... and i believe i read a ranting on guru some time ago saying that he/she only was inactive for 14 days and that happened...

Actually no, someone else founded it and left, he was made auto-leader. WE (the guildies) paid for everything in there. Chipped in and spent about 300k or so on buying all of the traders and such, he didn't spend a cent...not...one...!

Well, that was a bad idea on your part to trust someone to be your leader who wasn't even pitching in. I'd say your best bet is just hope hes a nice guy and ask him next time he gets on to make on of you leader since hes not playing much. Otherwise just wait it out a guild leader can't do much that an officer can't do. Besides joining an alliance and altering the cape. Its not a big deal unless its causing problems for you.

i was auto promoted to the leader of my guild, the original leader is in the service and was not active for a 3 month period. so either wait it out or form a new guild.

Thanks. We're going to try that. It wouldn't be an issue except for the Alliance. We found a wonderful one that wants us (ours sucks however, we can't do anything about it because he hasn't been on in 2 weeks.
