Default Zen Daijun: No experience for Tyrians?

I just did Zen Daijun with my Tyrian monk, and got Master's. It did add up to my Protector of Cantha title, and it does show up as Master's on my map, but it didn't give me any experience.

Is this normal, a known bug, or just a bug that strikes me? Because it kinda sucks, I could use the experience

Nope, it's a normal thing. Canthans get no mission experience pre-LA, Tyrians get none pre-Kaineng.

Supposedly it's a punishment for breaking the story timeline. ANet initially didn't allow Tyrian characters to even take part in the early missions.

Here's hoping they free things back up in NightFall.

Yeah, we'd really hope to get mission rewards for mission designed for lv 5 chars when we do the missions with our lv 20 Prophecies or Factions chars

This also goes for many quests... Both in Monastery island and Ascalon area. However I have discovered several Skill reward quests in the field that DO work for Canthans... I unlocked several skills that way by going back and doing everything in Tryia on my necro. Nothing super great but it was several I didn't have to buy that way... so Yea doing that saved me a few K... the popular town quests however do not work (IE: -50 and -20 health offhand quests). only the ones outside of towns... And they are typically only Core skills for rewards...
