Default Seeking your advice on Pets (owning, developing, acquiring)

Hello everyone :-)

I am thinking of starting a new pet. To tell you the truth my own experience with the previous one was not that much satisfactory, on the other hand I never took the time to get good at using my pet.

What I would like, is your ideas on pets. More specifically :

1. Do you believe its worth having a pet, or does it take too much space on your skill bar and too much time and energy trying to control it and heal it?

2. Does it worth the trouble to develop a dire pet?

3. Any other suggestions on developing or on owning a pet?

4. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the most "cool" looking pet in the three continents and where I could find it.

Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all in advance

Heres some help:

General: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Pets

Detailed: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=89491

1) Yes, for specific builds like B/P(Barrage with Pet) and Bunny Thumper, a pet as the build suggest is a must. Outside of the above mentioned times, i dont personally bring my pet out but i know some players always keep their pet with them at all times...

2) Depends on your tactics if you like it to serve as a tank or a serious DPS source.

3) look links above

4) UW spider used to be one of the Prestiage pet in the past but not any more. Some players find the wild boar the coolest...each to his own. Look up the list and decide for yourself. I have a Hyena and he rocks /RAWR

1. If you're not willing to put marks in Beast Mastery it's not worth the skillslots imo

2. I think it is, though I won't do it a second time

3. Regular feedings

4. My order of "coolness": rat > hyena > spider > phoenix > crocodile
