Default Survivor Title

I need a Survivor title. I levelled up without dying and was greatly disturbed to notice there was still no Survivor Title Track on my Titles screen.

What do you have to do to get the Survivor Title Track to show up?

I heard a rumor that you can only get that Title on new characters: is that true? If so that really sucks and definitely needs to be fixed.

yeap you need to have 0 deaths.

I was over 70K xp without dying, saw a thread about this and its only for chars whove never died... ever...

How much xp does your character have?

I believe you need ~140K or so xp to get the survivor title.

Level 20 without a death, 146,000 XP.

Also, I believe that if you get 150,000 XP after level 20 you receive the title.

To attain the Survivor title, you are required to have 140,600xp or over. I can confirm this as I have witnessed it myself. I just lost mine :P .

My assassin (yes, the class that's supposed to drop like flies) reached 106,600xp before I croaked on the Second main mission (The one with all the degen). Only exactly 34000xp to go lol. Henchies dropped on me and I got spiked.
As tears subside, I can honestly say the pain is real. Thanks for making me cry Anet .

(It's so annoying to type in /deaths to see "You have died 1 time" _-_)

I was about level 15 in one of the places on the other continent (yeah I should have stayed and leveled up) and I death charged into about 6-7 spike traps, instant death.

Default Survivor Title and "Bodyguards" missions

My question:

In order to achieve the "survivor" title, your character cannot die, what happens in those bodyguard missions when your "VIP" gets fragged and your party gets wiped?

Does that count as a death?
Hence no longer be able to acquire the survivor title?

Thanks.

Aye, that I know.
My question is, will the "party wipe" caused by the failure of the "bodyguard" missions trigger a death count?
There are many "bodyguard" missions in Cantha...

This one's easy to test: take a character that HAS already died into Thunderhead Keep, or any other "bodyguard" mission, and type /deaths. Record this number. Let King Jalis/whomever die, fail the mission, everyone is dead, return to outpost. Type /deaths, again, and compare. If your death counter increase, then that answers your question.

Default Survivor Title

Hello, I have heard rumours that the Title progress appears only after getting 40-50k without dying or something like that? I have now gotten around 80k without dying and have yet to see the Title Progress, what am I doing wrong?

It seems your character need to have a completely clean /death count for it to be achieved.

it's 140.6k xp. I earned more with an old char and did not get the title, so you must have /deaths = 0.

I heard that that one doesn't count to your /death count.

Just type /deaths to see how many times you died.

I tried getting survivor title on my old Tyrian char. After a few 100k I gave up. No sign of a survivor title at all.

No fair.

My son has an old pre-sear monk that I played yesterday and see that toon is on the way to survivor. I'll have to help it along a bit to make sure it survives. Hmmm, the mini PvP leaving pre-sear could be a challenge...
