20k would be exactly 20,000 gold. 20kish would be somewhere around 20,000 gold.

It's just adding the -ish suffix into 20k.
Ex.
redish colour

The suffix -ish usually indicates approximation
noun --- adjective (however, often the adjective is used as a noun. ex: "The Spanish" meaning the people of Spain)

Meaning: origin, nature, resembling
Suffixes used in English frequently have, Greek, French, or Latin origins.

The suffix -ish has been in English for many years. Where have you been?

Not everybody has English as their first language.

when someone says ish, it's an approximation, so instead of 20k, they might be willing to take 3 ectos, etc.

i dont think -ish is used in the netherlands, but i may be mistaken. same as every1 said above it is approximation. instead of writing 20k-ish, they write 20kish, which is a bit odd-sounding.
