If you don't get what u want from a Christmas present do you complain to the person who gave it to u for hours upon end. No. You thank them for the thought/pressie and continue on with the celebrations.

Agreed here. You're basically have the chance to make a huge fortune or some spare gold for doing nearly nothing, why complain?

I cant see what the problem is. You are getting some thing for nothing so stop moaning. The real problem is the Locked Chest business. It cost you 1.5k for a lockpick, which might break when you use it and you might get a crappy weapon or off hand for your trouble. Just another thought on locked chests, Im using a Warrior/any most of the time and not once has a Warrior weapon come out of a locked chest. I have a storage full of wands, staffs and offhands. Just once it would be nice to get an axe or sword.

I still need to grab the last treasure chest in the Realm of Torment on two characters, so I'll test this out right now. I've gotten every chest on three characters, and they've all dropped Gold items and a consistent amount of Gold based on their area. If I get two Gold items, then I personally won't believe that ANet nerfed the drops. But this is just two runs, and not a definitive test. For that, you'd need a much larger batch of tests to reach a conclusion with.

Your results may vary, etc etc. Be back in half an hour or however long it takes me.

Okay, I just henched my way over to the Treasure Chest in the Domain of Pain twice (two different characters) in Normal mode. These were my drops;

First Character: Exactly 3 platinum and a gold Butterfly Mirror with some crappy mods.

Second Character: 3 platinum 169 gold and a gold pair of Elonian Daggers, req 9, with some decent mods.

Both characters have gotten the other 12 treasure chests in order from the ones in Istan all the way up to the last chest in the Domain of Pain which I just opened. Nothing out of the ordinary for me; I think you just have bad luck or something.

Chests always had the degredation of drops over time, Its was just inknown when the first pages where added to the wiki because treasures had just been released.
Keep in mind wiki information is added by players as they discover it, then updated as more information is gathered. Amazing how many people think its an absolute source of information that just magics into a page.
