Just wondered if anyone could give me a synopsis of what becomes available to you when you join Guru.

Specific Question:
Does the Auction system load faster for members?

I'm not sure if it does or not, the server seems like it gets bogged down from time to time...

I'm not trying to be rude when I say this, but perhaps if the administration did a little board wipe and let only paying members attach files, it would speed things up a tiny bit.

To answer your question, No. The guru servers do not work any differently for members, whether free or paying. Members get to post and paying members get other benefits as described in the Select Guru info, but there are no special server rights as far as I know.

The auction site has always had problems with peak times, but the new system seems to function better than the old one.

would love it if it loaded faster......then I might get to see a dozen pages an hour instead of the few I get thru waiting for it to load, getting the white screen of death and reloading said page again....but ah well, I get lots of other stuff done while waiting....cleaning the bathroom, washing the dishes, making dinner......
